There are about 1129 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Estonia. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and efficacy of fluticasone furoate nasal spray (FFNS), without the use of an antibiotic, in the treatment of adult and adolescent subjects who are 12 years of age and older with uncomplicated acute rhinosinusitis (ARS).
This study is being conducted to compare the efficacy and safety of ofatumumab in addition to salvage chemotherapy versus rituximab in addition to salvage chemotherapy in CD20 positive DLBCL subjects relapsing, or with persistent disease, after first-line treatment with rituximab combined with an anthracycline-based chemotherapy regimen and be eligible for ASCT.
A controlled, double-blind study to determine the immunogenicity and safety of influenza cell derived vaccine in elderly subjects.
The primary purpose of this study is to help answer the following research questions: 1. How teriparatide given using a skin patch (transferred through the skin using the ViaDerm Teriparatide System) compares to teriparatide injected under the skin with a needle (pen injector) affects your bone density (how solid or porous your bones are). 2. The safety of the teriparatide skin patch and any side effects that might be associated with it.
This open-label, randomized, 3-arm study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of obinutuzumab (RO5072759) in combination with chlorambucil as compared to rituximab plus chlorambucil or chlorambucil alone in patients with previously untreated chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Patients will be randomized 2:2:1 to receive a maximum of six 28-day cycles of either RO5072759 (1000 mg intravenous (iv) infusion, on days 1, 8 and 15 of cycle 1 and day 1 of cycles 2-6) plus chlorambucil (0.5 mg/kg orally, days 1 and 15 of cycles 1-6), or rituximab (iv infusion day 1, 375 mg/m^2 cycle 1, 500 mg/m^2 cycles 2-6) plus chlorambucil, or chlorambucil alone. Anticipated time on study treatment is >6 months and follow-up for disease-progression and safety will be at least 5 years. In the US, this trial is sponsored/managed by Genentech.
The Purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of three strengths of the FF/GW642444 Inhalation Powder in subject with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
The registry is an international, multicenter, observational registry of newly diagnosed patients with SCLC. Data will be entered into an electronic CRF (eCRF) via Internet access. Treatment plan remains the responsibility of the patient's physician and data collected in this registry will reflect a "real world" approach of the diagnosis and treatment of patients with SCLC. Approximately 60 centres in 13 countries will take part in this registry. It is expected that about 500 patients will be recruited during a period of 6 to 9 months according to the feasibility.
Evaluation of heparin/edoxaban tosylate (DU176b) versus heparin/warfarin in preventing recurrence of blood clots in patients with acute symptomatic deep-vein blood clots in the legs and/or blood clots in the lungs.
This was an open-label, single arm (uncontrolled) study in participants suffering from cystic fibrosis, who had completed their study participation in CTBM100C2303 (all visits) and who were proven infected with Pseudomonas aeruginosa (P. aeruginosa) at enrollment into CTBM100C2303.
In this randomized, double-blind, multi-centre, placebo controlled, exploratory, adaptive design study, the antidepressant and plasma cytokine lowering effects of the GW856553 will be investigated in adult subjects diagnosed with MDD. Subjects will receive oral doses of GW856553 or placebo for six weeks. Safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, defined as biomarkers in blood and clinical symptoms, will be assessed. The primary endpoint is the change from baseline associated with GW856553 versus placebo at Week 6 in the Bech (6-item HAMD-17) score. Interim analyses of the primary endpoint will be performed throughout the study to potentially adapt the study design by changing the randomization ratio and/ or reducing the total number of subjects to be randomized into the study. Exploratory analyses will be performed by associating changes in cytokine levels and selected clinical symptoms; PK/PD modelling will also be used to identify the most sensitive clinical and biological markers.
