Filter by:Stem cell transplantation and blood product transfusions are standard of care for Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS). Several studies have shown changes in serum ferritin and non-transferrin-bound iron (NTBI) in patients undergoing stem cell transplantation. A large proportion of MDS patients are at risk for organ damage from tissue siderosis, due to the development of iron overload. Toxic effects of iron may play an important role in the complications associated with HSCT. Iron chelation therapy may reduce the acute and chronic treatment-related toxicity by removing excess of iron, iron radicals and reactive oxygen species (ROS). There is little information about the efficacy and safety of iron chelation in MDS patients. This audit wants to evaluate the effect of iron toxicity on treatment-related mortality in untreated, adult MDS or CMML patients during and after treatment with myeloablative conditioning (MAC) and reduced intensity conditioning (RIC) allo-HSCT, by prospectively collecting data from 200 MDS or CMML patients from 2009 onwards.
This study is a non-interventional, specimen collection translational study to evaluate vitamin C levels in the peripheral blood of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS), or Chronic Myelomonocytic Leukemia (CMML) patients.
This trial will evaluate the safety and efficacy of a reduced intensity allogeneic HSCT from partially HLA-mismatched first-degree relatives utilizing PBSC as the stem cell source. The primary objective of the study is to estimate the incidence of graft rejection and acute GVHD. A secondary objective will be to estimate the incidence of the relapse, NRM, OS, chronic GVHD and EFS.
Treatment of patients with chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML) and thrombocytopenia.
A Phase 1/2a Dose Escalation Study of FF-10501-01 in Patients with Relapsed or Refractory Hematological Malignancies to determine the safety and tolerability. A total of 6 cohorts will be enrolled in Phase 1 to establish the MTD. A total of 20 subjects with MDS/CMML treated at the RP2D are planned, including MDS/CMML subjects treated at the RP2D in Phase 1.
Phase 1-2 dose escalation randomized study in patients with intermediate or high risk myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) or acute myelogenous leukemia (AML). The Dose Escalation Segment will evaluate the biological activity, preliminary safety and efficacy of SGI-110 with two dosing schedules in MDS and AML patients while the Dose Expansion Segment will further evaluate safety and efficacy at the biological effective dose (BED) or maximum tolerated dose (MTD)as defined in the Dose Escalation Segment.
