Filter by:The rational of the study is the description of the evolution of systolic cardiac function post-stunning, evaluated by transesophageal minimally invasive echocardiography (hTEE). The uses of these non-invasive methods have proved to be accurate for the qualitative and semi-quantitative determination of the contractile function of the left ventricle and the volume status of the patient. Furthermore the use of this technique has been demonstrated to be a reliable method to analyze the stunning recovery infarction after controlled cardiac arrest during the extra-corporeal circulation.
