NCT ID: NCT03630991 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Edetate Calcium Disodium or Succimer in Treating Patients With Acute Myeloid Leukemia or Myelodysplastic Syndrome Undergoing Chemotherapy

Start date: October 11, 2018
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This phase I trial studies the side effects and best dose of edetate calcium disodium or succimer in treating patients with acute myeloid leukemia or myelodysplastic syndrome undergoing chemotherapy. Edetate calcium disodium or succimer may help to lower the level of metals found in the bone marrow and blood and may help to control the disease and/or improve response to chemotherapy.

NCT ID: NCT03625583 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Chronic Myeloid Leukemia

The Hong Kong CML Registry

Start date: April 1, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML) is a malignant disorder of the haematopoietic system. It is characterized by the chromosomal translocation between chromosomes 9 and 22, resulting in the formation of the Philadelphia chromosome which contains the BCRABL1 fusion gene. The projected prevalence of CML is rising steadily, due to the significantly improved survival of CML patients and that the incidence rate increases with age. The efficacious yet costly tyrosine kinase inhibitors pose a significant financial burden to both patients and the health care system, while they carry their own side effects and long-term risks. This study aims to set up a local disease registry of CML to improve the knowledge concerning this disease, including epidemiology, characteristics and treatment outcome of CML in Hong Kong,as well as long-term safety and toxicities of therapeutic agents.

NCT ID: NCT03622788 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Cytokine-Treated Veto Cells in Treating Patients With Hematologic Malignancies Following Stem Cell Transplant

Start date: August 8, 2019
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This phase I/II trial studies how well cytokine-treated veto cells work in treating patients with hematologic malignancies following stem cell transplant. Giving chemotherapy and total-body irradiation before a stem cell transplant helps stop the growth of cells in the bone marrow, including normal blood-forming cells (stem cells) and cancer cells. When the healthy stem cells from a donor are infused into the patient, they may help the patient's bone marrow make stem cells, red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. Cytokine-treated veto cells may help the transplanted donor cells to develop and grow in recipients without causing graft-versus-host-disease (GVHD - when transplanted donor tissue attacks the tissues of the recipient's body).

NCT ID: NCT03610971 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Chronic Myeloid Leukemia, Chronic Phase

Treatment Free Remission After Combination Therapy With Ruxolitinib Plus Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitors

Start date: November 19, 2019
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine if adding Ruxolitinib to a Tyrone Kinase Inhibitor (TKI), prior to a second attempt at stopping a TKI will lead to prolonged treatment free remission (TFR).

NCT ID: NCT03595917 Recruiting - Clinical trials for B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

ABL001 + Dasatinib + Prednisone + Blinatumomab in BCR-ABL+ B-ALL or CML

Start date: July 24, 2018
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This research study is evaluating a drug called ABL001 taken in combination with dasatinib (Sprycel®) and prednisone (a steroid) as a possible treatment for B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia that is BCR-ABL positive (BCR-ABL+ B-ALL) or Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) in lymphoid blast crisis. BCR-ABL+ B-ALL is also called Philadelphia chromosome positive Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (Ph+ ALL). It is expected that 25-40 people will take part in this research study. - ABL001 - Dasatinib (Sprycel®) - Prednisone - Blinatumomab

NCT ID: NCT03533816 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Expanded/Activated Gamma Delta T-cell Infusion Following Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation and Post-transplant Cyclophosphamide

Start date: January 31, 2020
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

Gamma delta T-cells are part of the innate immune system with the ability to recognize malignant cells and kill them. This study uses gamma delta T-cells to maximize the anti-tumor response and minimize graft versus host disease (GVHD) in leukemic and myelodysplastic patients who have had a partially mismatched bone marrow transplant (haploidentical).

NCT ID: NCT03459534 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Chronic Myeloid Leukemia, Chronic Phase

A Phase 3 Study for the Efficacy and Safety of Radotinib in CP-CML Patients With Failure or Intolerance to Previous TKIs

Start date: June 25, 2018
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

In a multinational, multicenter, single-arm, open-label and Phase III Radotinib clinical study, chronic phase Ph+ chronic myeloid leukemia patients with failure or intolerance to previous TKIs therapy including Imatinib will be recruited. In this phase 3 study, 173 subjects are expected to be enrolled in a single arm with the administration of Radotinib 400mg twice daily, which includes 10% of dropout rate.

NCT ID: NCT03399773 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

Infusion of Expanded Cord Blood Cells in Addition to Single Cord Blood Transplant in Treating Patients With Acute Leukemia, Chronic Myeloid Leukemia, or Myelodysplastic Syndromes

Start date: May 10, 2022
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This phase II trial studies how well donor umbilical cord blood transplant with ex-vivo expanded cord blood progenitor cells (dilanubicel) works in treating patients with blood cancer. Before the transplant, patients will receive chemotherapy (fludarabine, cyclophosphamide and in some cases thiotepa) and radiation therapy. Giving chemotherapy and total-body irradiation before a donor umbilical cord blood transplant helps stop the growth of cells in the bone marrow, including normal blood-forming cells (stem cells) and cancer cells. It may also stop the patient's immune system from rejecting the donor's stem cells. When the healthy stem cells from a donor are infused into the patient they may help the patient's bone marrow make stem cells, red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. The donated stem cells may also replace the patient's immune cells and help destroy any remaining cancer cells.

NCT ID: NCT03326310 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Chronic Myeloid Leukemia

Selumetinib and Azacitidine in High Risk Chronic Blood Cancers

Start date: September 4, 2018
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This is a phase I, open-label, dose-escalation study to determine the MTD of selumetinib when combined with the standard dose of azacitidine. Treatment will begin within 28 days of screening procedures. Treatment will continue indefinitely, provided that the patient continues to derive benefit. A patient will be taken off study for reasons described in detail in section 3.12 including disease progression, unacceptable toxicity, inter-current illness, withdrawal of consent, or at the discretion of the investigator. Patients will be followed for 12 weeks after the last dose of study drug, until any study treatment related toxicities have stabilized, or until death. The total duration of the study is expected to be approximately 24 months.
