Filter by:This is a multicenter, open-label, Phase II trial designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of PRO95780 when given as a single agent in patients with advanced chondrosarcoma. Up to 90 patients with confirmed chondrosarcoma will be enrolled.
The goal of this clinical research study is to learn if proton beam therapy, with or without photon beam radiation therapy, is effective in the treatment of skull base chondrosarcoma. The safety of this treatment will also be studied.
This study will examine the response rate and the 6-month progression-free survival rates of subjects with advanced sarcoma treated with dasatinib.
This is a phase II study of perifosine in patients with chondrosarcomas, alveolar soft part sarcomas and extra-skeletal myxoid chondrosarcomas. Patients will receive perifosine 100 mg orally qhs with food until disease progression. The goals of this study include: - In this study a daily dose of perifosine previously determined to be relatively non-toxic will be evaluated in patients with chondrosarcomas, alveolar soft part sarcomas and extra-skeletal myxoid chondrosarcomas. - Response to therapy will be based on regression of measurable disease according to Choi criteria. Time to progression and duration of stable disease will be measured as secondary endpoints of the study.
This phase III trial is studying observation to see how well a risk based treatment strategy works in patients with soft tissue sarcoma. In the study, patients are assigned to receive surgery +/- radiotherapy +/- chemotherapy depending on their risk of recurrence. Sometimes, after surgery, the tumor may not need additional treatment until it progresses. In this case, observation may be sufficient. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to kill tumor cells. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as ifosfamide and doxorubicin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving chemotherapy and radiation therapy before surgery may make the tumor smaller and reduce the amount of normal tissue that needs to be removed. Giving these treatments after surgery may kill any tumor cells that remain after surgery.
This phase II trial studies how well depsipeptide (romidepsin) works in treating patients with metastatic or unresectable soft tissue sarcoma. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as depsipeptide, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing.
RATIONALE: Pemetrexed disodium may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well pemetrexed disodium works in treating patients with recurrent and unresectable or metastatic chondrosarcoma.
RATIONALE: Intralesional resection is a less invasive type of surgery for chondrosarcoma of the bone and may have fewer side effects and improve recovery. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well intralesional resection works in treating patients with low-grade chondrosarcoma of the bone.
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as gemcitabine and docetaxel, work in different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining gemcitabine with docetaxel may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of combining gemcitabine with docetaxel in treating patients who have recurrent osteosarcoma, recurrent Ewing's sarcoma, or unresectable or locally recurrent chondrosarcoma.
Drugs used in chemotherapy work in different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. This phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of 17-N-allylamino-17-demethoxygeldanamycin in treating patients with advanced epithelial cancer, malignant lymphoma, or sarcoma
