Filter by:This project develops, tests and produces a lightweight, cordless, battery driven and rechargeable hand-held device for treating cervical precancer (Liger Thermal Coagulator). The study evaluates its effectiveness compared to the current standard treatment (cryocautery) when used as part of a screen and treat programme using Visual Inspection with Acetic acid (VIA) in Sub Saharan Africa.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether smartphone photos may assist health-care worker (on-site) and to evaluate the diagnostic reliability and accuracy of cervical examination with smartphone photos of VIA (D-VIA), on-site and off-site, compared with conventional VIA, for human papillomavirus (HPV) positive women.
