NCT ID: NCT05762601 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Myocardial Infarction

Cellular precOnditioning for Post-Surgical Myocardial Ischemic Complications - Observational Study

COSMIC
Start date: February 15, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The goal of this observational study is to collect health data on people who are at high risk of having heart complications and are having a surgery that is not on the heart. The main questions it aims to answer are: - Is this study feasible in terms of recruiting enough people to participate in this study? - How often do heart complications happen in people who are at high risk of heart complications and are having a surgery that is not on the heart? Participants will have their usual care and will also be asked to: - Have extra bloodwork done - Complete some surveys - Have two echocardiograms (ultrasounds of the heart) - Continue to follow-up with the research team for one year after their surgery Researchers will compare how often heart complications occur in this high risk population to a future study where participants will receive stem cells before their surgery.

NCT ID: NCT05602298 Recruiting - Surgery Clinical Trials

The Quality of Recovery-15 Survey After Cardiac Surgery

Start date: August 4, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Patient reported outcomes are becoming increasingly recognized as an important metric to determine efficacy of interventions following recovery after cardiac surgery. Quality of Recovery 15 survey is a tool that attempts to measure patients' recovery across several different domains (i.e physical, emotional and social). This tool has been validated extensively in the post operative patient population, but these studies contained only small numbers of cardiac surgery patients. This population faces unique challenges to recovery such as a longer duration of mechanical ventilation, ICU and hospital LOS, delirium, significant pain in the first 24-48 hours and post operative arrhythmias. This study aims to validate the QoR 15 in this population exclusively to determine if it is feasible, valid, reliable and responsive in this unique population.

NCT ID: NCT05114408 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Perioperative Complication

Trimodal Prehabilitation in Patients Undergoing Elective Surgery

Start date: June 7, 2012
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Patients scheduled for elective surgery will undergo 4 week course of trimodal prehabilitation

NCT ID: NCT03882580 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Cardiovascular Complication

Reporting, Evaluating, Preventing and Treating the Cardiotoxicity Induced by Anticancer Drugs During a Specific Cardio-oncology Consult and Follow up in Routine Care

NEOCARDIO
Start date: March 1, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Several Drugs used in routine care in oncology induce rare but often severe or fatal cardiovascular or metabolic side effects. This study will investigate, evaluate, report and treat the cardiovascular side effects of anticancer drugs, through a specific cardiovascular routine checkup and follow-up taking place in several Cardio-oncology programs throughout France. The different including centers will be: Assistance Publique - Hôpitaux de Paris (APHP.6: Pitié-Salpétrière, Saint Antoine and Tenon's hospitals, Paris, France).

NCT ID: NCT03209674 Recruiting - Heart Diseases Clinical Trials

Registry for the Improvement of Postoperative OutcomeS in Cardiac and Thoracic surgEry

RIPOSTE
Start date: January 1, 2012
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

The registry for the improvement of postoperative outcomes in cardiac and thoracic surgery aims to prospectively collect data in order to test the association between various preoperative and per-operative variables ; and several postoperative outcomes such as mortality, shock, redo surgery, sepsis and extracorporeal life-support.
