NCT ID: NCT00550277 Completed - Clinical trials for Renal Cell Carcinoma

LBH589 Treatment for Refractory Clear Cell Renal Carcinoma

Start date: January 2008
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Inhibition of histone deacetylase (HDAC) provides a novel approach for cancer treatment. LBH589, an oral HDAC inhibitor, has been well tolerated in phase I trials and has shown activity against several types of cancer. In this nonrandomized phase II trial, we are investigating the activity of LBH589 in the treatment of patients with refractory clear cell renal carcinoma.

NCT ID: NCT00541008 Completed - Kidney Cancer Clinical Trials

Sunitinib as First-Line Therapy in Treating Patients With Locally Advanced Metastatic Papillary Renal Cell Cancer

Start date: September 5, 2007
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Sunitinib may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth and by blocking blood flow to the tumor. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well sunitinib works as first-line therapy in treating patients with locally advanced or metastatic papillary renal cell (kidney) cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00537056 Completed - Clinical trials for Carcinoma, Renal Cell

Evaluating Sunitinib Therapy in Renal Cell Carcinoma Using F-18 FDG PET/CT and DCE MRI

Start date: October 2007
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

To learn whether FDG PET/CT and DCE MRI are better predictors of response to therapy than the current standard of care (CT or MRI).

NCT ID: NCT00531544 Completed - Clinical trials for Metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma

A SU011248 Expanded Access Protocol for Systemic Therapy of Patients With Metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma Who Are Ineligible for Participation in Other SU011248 Protocols But May Derive Benefit From Treatment With SU011248

Start date: February 2007
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

A SU011248 expanded access protocol for systemic therapy of patients with metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma who are ineligible for participation in other SU011248 protocols but may derive benefit from treatment with SU011248

NCT ID: NCT00529802 Completed - Clinical trials for Carcinoma, Renal Cell

Exploratory Study Evaluating Fluorodeoxyglucose - Position Emission Tomography as a Predictive Marker for Therapy With RAD001 in Metastatic Renal Cell Cancer

Start date: September 2007
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to learn if PET scanning can predict the degree of tumor shrinkage with the study drug RAD001 in subjects who have advanced renal cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00523159 Completed - Clinical trials for Renal Cell Carcinoma

IMA901 in Advanced Renal Cell Carcinoma Patients With Measurable Disease

IMA901-202
Start date: May 2007
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study was conducted in order to evaluate the efficacy and safety of the cancer vaccine IMA901 and GM-CSF as adjuvant in the treatment of advanced renal cell carcinoma. Patients received vaccination with GM-CSF followed by IMA901 during the study period of 9 months. Patients received pre-treatment with a single i.v. infusion of cyclophosphamide prior to the first vaccination.

NCT ID: NCT00520403 Completed - Renal Cell Cancer Clinical Trials

A Study of Avastin (Bevacizumab) in Combination With Standard Therapy in Patients With Metastatic Renal Cell Cancer.

Start date: September 2007
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This single arm study will assess the efficacy and safety of Avastin in combination with interferon alfa-2a and vinblastine as first line treatment in patients with metastatic renal cell cancer. Patients will receive Avastin (15mg/kg iv) every 3 weeks, interferon alfa-2a 3 times weekly (3 Mio IU sc escalating to 18 Mio sc) and vinblastine (0.1mg/kg iv) every 3 weeks. The anticipated time on study treatment is until tumor progression, and the target sample size is 100-500 individuals.

NCT ID: NCT00516672 Completed - Clinical trials for Carcinoma, Renal Cell

Phase I Study of Pazopanib Alone and In Combination With Lapatinib in Japanese Patients With Solid Tumors

Start date: September 10, 2007
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This is a two part phase I study in Japanese patients that will determine the safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics of pazopanib monotherapy and of pazopanib in combination with lapatinib.

NCT ID: NCT00515697 Completed - Clinical trials for Metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma

A Study of Ramucirumab in Participants With Metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma

Start date: November 2007
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine whether ramucirumab is effective treatment in participants with metastatic renal cell carcinoma who have developed progressive disease or become intolerant to tyrosine kinase inhibitor therapy.

NCT ID: NCT00513175 Completed - Multiple Myeloma Clinical Trials

Non-Myeloablative Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplantation With Matched Unrelated Donors for Treatment of Hematologic Malignancies, Renal Cell Carcinoma, and Aplastic Anemia

Start date: October 2001
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The primary objective of this study is to examine transplant related mortality (TRM) at 100 days <30%. A TRM of >50% is considered unacceptable. This study also seeks a TRM at 12 months that is <50%, engraftment >90% (defined as donor cells >80% at 6 months), and 1 year overall survival >50%.
