NCT ID: NCT04895748 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Carcinoma, Renal Cell

DFF332 as a Single Agent and in Combination With Everolimus & Immuno-Oncology Agents in Advanced/Relapsed Renal Cancer & Other Malignancies

Start date: November 30, 2021
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This is first in human study of DFF332, a small molecule that targets a protein called HIF2α. By acting on HIF2α, DFF332 may be able to stop the growth of certain types of cancer. DFF332 will be tested at different doses as single agent and in combination with Everolimus (RAD001, an mTOR inhibitor), and also in combination with Spartalizumab (PDR001, an anti-PD1) plus Taminadenant (NIR178, an adenosine A2A receptor antagonist), in patients with advanced clear cell renal cell carcinoma and other malignancies with HIF stabilizing mutations.

NCT ID: NCT04846920 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Carcinoma, Renal Cell

A Study of Belzutifan (MK-6482) in Participants With Advanced Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma (MK-6482-018)

Start date: June 14, 2021
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this study is to evaluate the safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics of escalating doses of belzutifan as second line positive (2L+) treatment in participants with advanced clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC).

NCT ID: NCT04788095 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma

App-Based Mindfulness Intervention for the Improvement of Quality of Life in Patients With Metastatic Renal Cell Cancer

Start date: August 23, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This trial tests the feasibility of an application (app)-based mindfulness intervention and its effect on improving quality of life in patients with renal cell cancer that has spread to other places in the body (metastatic). This trial aims to see whether an app-based mindfulness intervention may help patients cope with their disease.

NCT ID: NCT04758507 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Renal Cell Carcinoma

Fecal Microbiota Transplantation to Improve Efficacy of Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors in Renal Cell Carcinoma

TACITO
Start date: February 18, 2021
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is the sixth most common cancer in men and the eighth in women in the USA. In Italy RCC incidence was 11500 new cases in 2017, while mortality was 3371 cases in 2015. Increasing evidence suggests that response to immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs), a novel treatment for advanced RCC (aRCC) and other epithelial tumors, can be influenced by the patient gut microbiota. Fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) is a novel therapeutic option based on the restoration of healthy gut microbiota, and is the most effective therapy for recurrent C. difficile infection, and preliminary nonrandomized findings show that FMT is able to improve efficacy of ICIs in patients with advanced melanoma. The aim of this study is to evaluate, through a randomized controlled trial, the efficacy of targeted FMT (from donors who are responding to ICI. in improving response rates to ICIs in subjects with aRCC.

NCT ID: NCT04736706 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Carcinoma, Renal Cell

A Study of Pembrolizumab (MK-3475) in Combination With Belzutifan (MK-6482) and Lenvatinib (MK-7902), or Pembrolizumab/Quavonlimab (MK-1308A) in Combination With Lenvatinib, Versus Pembrolizumab and Lenvatinib, for Treatment of Advanced Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma (MK-6482-012)

Start date: April 14, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of pembrolizumab plus belzutifan plus lenvatinib or pembrolizumab/quavonlimab plus lenvatinib versus pembrolizumab plus lenvatinib as first-line treatment in participants with advanced clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). The primary hypotheses are (1) pembrolizumab plus belzutifan plus lenvatinib is superior to pembrolizumab plus lenvatinib with respect to progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS), in advanced ccRCC participants; and (2) pembrolizumab/quavonlimab plus lenvatinib is superior to pembrolizumab plus lenvatinib with respect to PFS and OS, in advanced ccRCC participants.

NCT ID: NCT04704219 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Renal Cell Carcinoma

Pembrolizumab Plus Lenvatinib for First-line Advanced/Metastatic Non-clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma (1L nccRCC) (MK-3475-B61)

KEYNOTE-B61
Start date: February 23, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study is being performed as a single-arm open-label study in order to rapidly provide information on the potential benefits of the combination of pembrolizumab and lenvatinib in participants with previously untreated advanced/metastatic non-clear cell renal cell carcinoma.

NCT ID: NCT04670445 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Stage IV Breast Cancer

Improving Patient and Caregiver Understanding of Risks and Benefits of Immunotherapy for Advanced Cancer

UPLIFT
Start date: January 23, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to refine and pilot test educational material developed to educate and support patients receiving immunotherapy for advanced cancer. The intervention is an educational video and question prompt list (QPL) to promote communication between patients, caregivers, and the oncology team about the risks and benefits of immunotherapy.

ABEMA Alone or in COMBO With MK-6482

Start date: December 31, 2020
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This research study will assess whether abemaciclib alone or in combination with MK-6482 are safe and effective in slowing down the growth of clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). The names of the study drugs in this investigational combination are: - Abemaciclib - MK-6482
