Filter by:This is a phase III, single-arm, multicenter, international study to assess the efficacy and safety of ONCOFID-P-B following intravesical instillation in adult patients with histologically and cytologically confirmed CIS, with or without concomitant Ta-T1, who are unresponsive to BCG therapy and unwilling or unfit to undergo radical cystectomy. After providing written informed consent (in presence of an Independent Witness, if applicable), patients will receive an induction therapy consisting of 12 weekly intravesical instillations of ONCOFID-P-B (induction phase). Patients who achieve a CR by Investigator assessment at the end of the induction phase will enter the maintenance phase and receive monthly treatment for an additional 12 months or until recurrence of CIS/Ta-T1 or progression to MIBC or extravesical disease.
This phase IIb trial studies the combined effect of prolonged nightly fasting and metformin hydrochloride extended release in decreasing breast tumor cell proliferation and other biomarkers of breast cancer. Preventing invasive breast cancer or DCIS. Metformin is widely used to treat type II diabetes and is associated with a decreased risk of cancer and death in diabetic individuals. Intermittent fasting may protect cancer patients from the toxic effects of chemotherapy agents without causing chronic weight loss. The combination of intermittent fasting and metformin may reduce breast cancer growth and may be used in women at risk for breast cancer or other cancers associated with being overweight.
This study will test a drug called enfortumab vedotin in participants with a type of bladder cancer called non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC). This study will also evaluate what the side effects are and if the drug works to treat NMIBC. A side effect is anything a drug does to your body besides treating your disease. In this study enfortumab vedotin will be put into the bladder using a catheter. A catheter is a thin tube that can be put into your bladder.
This clinical trial evaluates the use of an Episodic Future thinking Intervention to promote weight loss in breast cancer survivors. Obesity is associated with multiple negative health sequelae in breast cancer survivors. This includes an increased risk of cancer recurrence and mortality, multiple quality of life issues, and increased risk of co-morbidities. Delay Discounting is a behavioral health economic target that refers to the "discounting" of a larger benefit in the future for a smaller, more immediate reward in the present. A high delay discounting rate is correlated with poor dietary choices and sedentary lifestyle. Episodic Future Thinking (EFT) simulates positive events that may occur in one's future, engaging the science of prospection. EFT decreases delay discounting rate, resulting in healthier diet choices and weight reduction. However, valuation of the future may impact cancer survivors differently due to adjusted mortality perception and cancer-related stress. This study will determine the feasibility and preliminary efficacy of remotely delivered (smartphone application) EFT as a behavioral intervention for weight loss in breast cancer survivors. Implementation of EFT as a complementary approach to standard lifestyle interventions could lead to improvement in weight loss, food choice, and quality of life, thereby positively impacting overall health and longevity in cancer survivors.
This is a multi-institutional, prospective, observational registry investigating the safety and efficacy of Accelerated Partial Breast Irradiation (APBI) using a Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) delivery technique that incorporates real-time image guidance, noncoplanar fields, and respiratory tracking. The study will accrue 200 patients who will be treated to a dose of 30 Gy over the course of 5 fractions. These subjects will then have a follow up time of 5 years

This phase II trial studies the effect of calorie reduction while undergoing stereotactic ablative radiation therapy in treating patients with breast cancer. Stereotactic ablative radiation therapy (sABR) is a highly focused radiation treatment that gives an intense dose of radiation concentrated on a tumor, while limiting the dose to the surrounding organ. Giving SABR before surgery may make the tumor smaller. Adding dietary restrictions in combination with radiation therapy may help increase local control and decrease the spread of the cancer to other places in the body. The purpose of this trial is to identify if there is a decrease in tumor tissue in patients undergoing caloric restriction during pre-operative SABR, compared to patients undergoing pre-operative SABR alone.
Vulval cancer, while rare, has increased in incidence by 17% since the 1990s. It is strongly associated with age, thus this increasing trend is likely to continue with extended life expectancy. Vulval cancer is highly treatable when detected early. Women with chronic vulval conditions including lichen sclerosus, lichen planus and vulval intraepithelial neoplasia are at increased risk of developing vulval cancer. Most patients are in hospital follow-up, however regular vulval self-examination can pick up lesions earlier. There are no formalised methods of teaching self-examination and no evidence that it is acceptable to women. The main objective of this study is to pilot an intervention to promote and support vulval self-examination for women at increased risk of vulval cancer including those with lichen sclerosus, lichen planus and vulval intraepithelial neoplasia. Findings from this feasibility study will inform the design of a randomised trial comparing the interventions versus control with an embedded cost-effectiveness analysis.

The purpose of this trial is to evaluate safety, tolerability and efficacy of various doses of STP705 administered as intralesional injection in subjects with cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (in situ) skin cancer (isSCC).
