Filter by:The overarching goal of the proposed study is to develop and test an enrichment to Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) using an existing, evidence-based program to improve clients' and their children's cardiovascular health from early pregnancy to 24 months postpartum. With support from NFP supervisors and nurses, the investigators will develop new NFP materials promoting healthy diet, activity, sleep, and smoking behaviors, along with optimal weight, glycemia, lipid, and blood pressure profiles. The investigators will conduct a pilot study with up to 40 NFP clients (or women similar to NFP client population) and their nurses to determine feasibility and acceptability of the materials and study protocol.
The objective of this study is to investigate the effect of inclusion of 50% sprouted wheat wholemeal in a bread recipe on the postprandial glycemic and satiety responses, as well as on appetite-related sensations and acceptability of the developed products relative to a product made with a similar unsprouted wheat recipe.
This study will explore the postprandial glycemic response of ALLSWEET®, a non-GMO certified allulose, when consumed alone or with sucrose, compared to the consuming sucrose alone. On 3 separate days, subjects will consume in random order ALLSWEET® alone, ALLSWEET® added to sucrose, or sucrose alone. Blood samples for glucose and insulin analysis with be taken for 2 hours following consumption of the beverages.
To purpose of this study is to assess the effectiveness, safety and tolerability of PEAK ATP® with GlycoCarn®, PEAK ATP® and GlycoCarn® on levels of blood sugar and endothelial function improvement which may lead to improved vascular health.
