Filter by:Counteracting misinformation on childhood vaccines remains a priority for public health in industrialized countries. Previous research showed that misinformation-induced vaccine hesitancy particularly concerns very highly or very lowly educated parents, and, especially in Europe, specific groups of immigrants. Misinformation framing directly targets specific sub-population of parents by exploiting different cognitive biases, and specific concerns based on cultural norms: this project aims at testing the effectiveness of similar framing techniques applied to positive information on the HPV vaccine by conducting a Randomized Controlled Trial in Stockholm, Sweden. It randomizes emotionally and scientifically/statistically framed information addressing the specific concerns reported by previous literature.
High-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (HSIL) and anal cancer are rising in incidence and at highest risk are HIV positive men who have sex with men (MSM). This pilot study assessing anal function and patient-reported outcomes before and after laser ablation of HSIL will add to the evidence that such a therapy is an acceptable and safe treatment to offer in a preventative setting. We will be recruting HIV positive and negative MSM.
This is a single-center prospective clinical trial to evaluate non-inferiority of indocyanine green guided sentinel lymph node biopsy compared with the gold standard Technecium99 guided sentinel lymph node biopsy in patients with cancers and subjected to surgery. The diagnostic performance and the tolerance of indocyanine green (ICG) to the radio-isotope (Techniciun99) in the detection of sentinel lymph nodes will be assess using an "Optonuclear" probe (EURORAD S.A.) and QUEST camera
