Filter by:The objective of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Perrigo's test formulation of Clindamycin Phosphate and Benzoyl Peroxide Topical Gel 1.2%/2.5% compared to the already marketed formulation, Acanya gel in patients with acne vulgaris.
Acanya (Clindamycin Phosphate and Benzoyl Peroxide) Gel, 1.2%/2.5% gel marketed by Valeant Pharmaceuticals, North America, is a safe and effective topical therapy used for the treatment of acne vulgaris.
This study will evaluate the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics (PK) of dapsone in subjects with acne vulgaris following 28 days of dosing.
The objective of this study is to compare the relative efficacy and safety of the test formulation Clindamycin 1%/Benzoyl Peroxide 5% Topical Gel (Taro Pharmaceuticals Inc.) to the marketed formulation Duac® Topical Gel (Clindamycin 1%/Benzoyl Peroxide 5%) (Stiefel) in the treatment of the inflamed lesions of acne vulgaris. Both the test and reference formulations will also be compared to a placebo formulation to test for superiority.
The objective of this study is to compare the safety and efficacy profiles of Taro Pharmaceutical Inc.'s Clindamycin Phosphate and Benzoyl Peroxide Gel 1.2%/2.5% to Acanya® (Clindamycin Phosphate and Benzoyl Peroxide) Gel, 1.2%/2.5% and to demonstrate the superior efficacy of the two active formulations over that of the vehicle in the treatment of acne vulgaris.
A Phase I, Single-Center, Open-Label, Randomized, Parallel Group, 3 Day Study Evaluating the Safety and Cutaneous Tolerability of NVN1000 Topical Gel in Healthy Volunteers
The objective of this study is to evaluate the therapeutic equivalence and safety of Adapalene and Benzoyl Peroxide 0.1%/2.5% Gel (Taro Pharmaceuticals Inc.) and Epiduo® (Adapalene and Benzoyl Peroxide 0.1%/2.5% Gel) (Galderma Laboratories, L.P.) in the treatment of acne vulgaris, and to demonstrate the superiority of the efficacy of the test and reference products over the vehicle (placebo) control in the treatment of acne vulgaris.
The goal of this study is to enroll 250 participants that have joined the MURDOCK Study Horizon 1.5 (Duke IRB Pro00011196) with a current or prior diagnosis of severe acne AND current or prior treatment with oral isotretinoin. All 250 participants will answer a 5-page questionnaire designed to collect information on the diagnosis of severe acne and response to oral isotretinoin treatment. The aim is to identify genetic predictors of severe acne vulgaris and the outcome of oral isotretinoin treatment.
One of the main success factors in acne therapy is user compliance with treatment, product cost, availability and ease of use. Poor compliance may translate into decreased efficacy (either not improving symptoms well enough or not improving symptoms fast enough), tolerability issues or adverse effects (eg, erythema, dryness, or peeling of the skin), a lack of understanding of the instructions for use, or product cost/availability. Whatever the reason, poor compliance translates to decreased efficacy and increased frustration on the part of the user. The current study will evaluate the efficacy and tolerability of MAXCLARITY II, an over the counter, topical benzoyl peroxide (BPO) product line, in subjects with acne.

The current study will evaluate and compare the efficacy and tolerability of 2 over-the-counter, topical benzoyl peroxide (BPO) product lines in subjects with acne: MAXCLARITY II (2.5% BPO) Foam Cleanser and Foam Treatment and (0.5% Salicylic Acid) Toner Foam compared with PROACTIV (2.5% BPO) Renewing Cleanser and Repairing Lotion and Revitalizing Toner.
