Filter by:To evaluate safety and tolerability of lambda over a 48-week treatment period in HDV patients.
The investigator's aim in this study is to evaluate the impact of a new standard of care protocol for the treatment of BK viremia and nephropathy (BKVAN), which includes switching from Tacrolimus to equivalent dose of Cyclosporine in patients who have been diagnosed with BK viremia or BKVAN based on their viral load, overall graft function (estimated glomerular filtration rate), acute rejection, and rate of graft loss due to rejection or BKVAN.
Respiratory viruses including influenza and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) are among the most important causes of severe disease globally, infecting everyone repeatedly throughout life. Understanding of how to prevent infection is incomplete but boosting immunity with vaccines remains the best strategy. T cells have been shown in animals to be essential for clearing respiratory viral infection and are likely to be helpful if stimulated by vaccines. However, where these cells originate from and how they develop in the human lung are still unclear. The investigators will inoculate volunteers with influenza or RSV to examine the relationship between T cells in their blood and lungs and the outcome of infection. By tracking these specialised cells, the investigators aim to develop a better understanding of how they are generated in order to harness them with future vaccines.
The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and reactogenicity of a single intramuscular dose of GSK Biologicals' investigational RSV vaccine, in healthy, non-pregnant women aged 18 to 45 years.
The primary objectives of this study are to evaluate the antiviral efficacy of therapy with ledipasvir/sofosbuvir (LDV/SOF) fixed-dose combination (FDC) and to evaluate the safety and tolerability of LDV/SOF FDC and sofosbuvir (SOF) + ribavirin (RBV) in participants with chronic genotype 2 hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection.
The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of ABT-493/ABT-530 in adults with chronic hepatitis C virus genotype 1-6 infection and human immunodeficiency virus-1 co-infection.
This is a prospective observational laboratory evaluation of the persistence rate of zika virus (ZIKV) infection in semen by real-time Reverse Transcriptase Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR), and assessment of ZIKV replication-competence in semen by isolation of ZIKV. Evaluation of the persistence of ZIKV and its replication-competence in semen samples will increase the understanding of the risk of sexual transmission of ZIKV infection in the post-viremic phase in non-epidemic settings.
A Phase III Double Blinded, Randomized Controlled Study to Evaluate Efficacy of Protection Against HPV-16 and 18 Related Diseases, Immunogenicity and Safety of Recombinant Human Papillomavirus Virus-like Particle Vaccine (Type 16 and 18 L1 Proteins, Yeast) in Healthy Females Aged 18-30 Years.
The primary objectives of this study are to evaluate the antiviral efficacy, safety, and tolerability of sofosbuvir/velpatasvir (SOF/VEL) fixed-dose combination (FDC) in hepatitis C virus (HCV)-infected adults who are undergoing liver transplantation.
The purpose of this phase 3 study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of ABT-493/ABT-530 in comparison to sofosbuvir plus ribavirin for 12 weeks in Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) Genotype 2 (GT2) infected participants.
