Induction Chemotherapy Combined With Immunotherapy Followed by Concurrent Chemoradiation in Advanced Cervical Cancer

The main objective of this study is to determine whether neoadjuvant chemotherapy combined with slulimumab sequential concurrent chemoradiotherapy versus concurrent chemoradiotherapy for locally advanced cervical cancer could improve progression-free survival rates. Women in the experimental arm will receive neoadjuvant chemotherapy (cisplatin plus paclitaxel) combined with slulimumab every 21 days during 2 cycles followed by concurrent chemoradiation therapy. Women in the control arm will receive concurrent chemoradiation therapy alone. 286 patients will be recruited during 2 years, with 3 years of follow up period.

Carbon Nanoparticles and Indocyanine Green for Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy in Early Stage Cervical Cancer

The metastasis rate of pelvic lymph node in early cervical cancer is low. Systemic lymph node resection is traumatic and has many complications. Sentinel lymph node (SLN) biopsy can effectively avoid unnecessary lymph node dissection, which has been recommended in clinical guidelines. Indocyanine green(ICG) fluorescence imaging as the method of SLN mapping is recommended in international guidelines. However, the imaging equipment is very expensive which limits the popularization of ICG in different medical centers of various surgical volumes. Carbon nanoparticle is an innovative tracer without any special imaging equipment for SLN mapping in China. Some retrospective researches have proved that carbon nanoparticle is effective, simple, economic and suitable for popularization in different medical centers. In this study, a prospective randomized controlled trial will be conducted to analyze the non-inferiority of carbon nanoparticles compared to ICG, and to verify the application value of carbon nanoparticles. 144 cervical cancer patients with stage IB1 (FIGO2018) will be prospectively enrolled and randomly divided into two groups (R = 1:1). 72 patients will undergo SLN biopsy with carbon nanoparticles and 72 patients will be mapped by ICG. The primary endpoint is overall SLN detection rate. The secondary endpoints include bilateral SLN detection rate, the number of SLN detected, sensitivity, false negative rate and negative predictive value of SLN biopsy. Diagnostic accuracy will be evaluated at both pelvis and patient levels. What's more, SLN pathological ultrastaging will be conducted to increase the diagnostic accuracy. The hypothesis of this study is that the overall SLN detection rate by carbon nanoparticles is not inferior to that using ICG. And the differences of bilateral SLN detection rate, sensitivity, false negative rate and negative predictive value between two groups are not significant.

This study is a single arm, single center and exploratory clinical study, which aims to explore the efficacy and safety of hetropapa ethanolamine tablets in the treatment of thrombocytopenia caused by concurrent radiotherapy and chemotherapy of cervical cancer. The primary end point was the proportion of subjects who were effective after treatment with hetropapa in the first cycle after treatment, that is, the platelet value recovered to ≥ 100 x 109 / L after treatment. The main inclusion criteria were: voluntary participation in the trial and signing informed consent; Age ≥ 18 years old, regardless of gender; Cervical cancer was diagnosed by histopathology or cytology; Platelet < 75 × 109/L; At the time of screening, the expected survival time is ≥ 12 weeks, and can be treated with the current chemotherapy regimen for at least 1 cycle.

A Study of Carilizumab Combined With Concurrent Chemoradiotherapy

This is a one-arm phase II clinical study. In patients with stage III-IVA cervical cancer with pelvic lymph nodes > 2cm, positive para-aortic lymph nodes, or lymph node metastases > 2, patients with positive PD-L1 expression (CPS score ≥1) were treated with cararizumab combined with conventional concurrent chemoradiotherapy and immunomaintenance therapy for one year. Prognostic Value of Protein IMP3 Expression in Cervical Cancer

The results of recent research on cervical cancer and its precancerous lesions have linked the expression of IMP3 protein to cervical dysplasia and the possibility of severe cervical dysplasia (CIN III) progressing to squamous cell carcinoma. A higher expression of IMP3 protein was found in the cytoplasms of severe cervical dysplasia (CIN III) cells and invasive tumor cells compared to CIN I and CIN II change cells. The sensitivity of IMP3 expression in tumor cells was 96%. In preparations that were IMP3 negative, no further monitoring and treatment revealed squamous cell carcinoma. Further analyzes indicated the possibility of determining IMP3 expression on first cervical biopsy specimens in patients with HSIL ( high grade squamous intraepithelial lesion) lesions as a biomarker to detect a subset of patients in whom lesion invasiveness can be expected.

Prevention and Control of Neoplasms Associated With HPV in High-risk Groups in Mexico City: The Condesa Study

Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of a combined strategy of human papillomavirus virus (HPV) vaccination and high-risk HPV screening to reduce the occurrence of neoplasms in the anogenital region and oral cavity among men who have sex with men, people with HIV, homeless people, transgender women, female sex workers and rape victims. Methods: This mixed methods study evaluates the effectiveness of a combined vaccination-screening strategy to reduce HPV prevalence/incidence and occurrence of cervical intraepithelial neoplasms grade 2+ and/or anal intraepithelial neoplasms grade 2+, using Kaplan-Meier. The time-to-event method will evaluate time from positive results for specific anogenital HPV to incidence of anogenital lesions containing that HPV type. Conclusions: This study will generate scientific evidence on effectiveness of a combined vaccination-screening strategy to reduce the burden of HPV-associated neoplasms within vulnerable populations in Mexico.
