The primary objective of this post market clinical follow-up (PMCF) investigation is to evaluate performance and safety of Exufiber when used as intended in Stage II-IV pressure ulcers (PU).
Aims are: - develop an Internet-based education programme about venous leg ulcer nursing care (ELC) - evaluate the clinical, cognitive and economical outcomes of education programme Research questions are: 1. What are the cognitive outcomes of ELC (perceived knowledge, attitudes towards venous leg ulcer nursing care, theoretical knowledge level and practical knowledge)? Hypotheses for research question 1 are: 1. Nurses using the ELC will have better knowledge (perceived, practical and theoretical knowledge) than those who will not use the ELC. 2. Nurses using the ELC will have more positive attitudes towards venous leg ulcer nursing care than those who will not use the ELC. 2. What are the clinical outcomes of ELC (ulcer healing, ulcer size, treatment supplies)? Hypotheses for research question 2 are: 1. Ulcer healing progresses better among patients who are taken care by nurses using the ELC. 2. Ulcer sizes will be 10 % smaller among the patients cared for nurses using the ELC. 3. Nurses using the ELC will use mire adequate treatment supplies than those who will not use the ELC. 3. What are the economical outcomes (treatment time and supply usage) of ELC? Hypothesis for research question 3 is: 1. The economical expenditures will be lower among nurses using the ELC. The ultimate aim is to promote evidence-based nursing care among patients with venous leg ulcer.
The primary objective of these case series is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of the KLOX BioPhotonic System as adjunctive therapy to Standard Of Care (SOC) in patients with diabetic foot ulcers.

Pirfenidone is a synthetic molecule, which acts as a potent modulator of the effect of various cytokines (TNF-α, transforming growth factor-β, platelet derived growth factor and vascular endothelial growth factor, among others) that possesses anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrinolytic properties. The aim of this study is to compare the effect of topic treatment with pirfenidone compared to conventional treatment in chronic diabetic foot ulcers. The hypothesis is that treatment with topic pirfenidone in chronic diabetic foot ulcers (Wagner 1 to 2) reduces the ulcer size and shortens the healing time compared to conventional treatment. This is a randomized, controlled and crossover study. Patients will be randomly assigned to conventional treatment or topic pirfenidone for eight weeks. At the end of this period they will change groups. Each week ulcers will be for size, depth, length and evidence of infection. The ulcers will have proper debridement in the conventional treatment group and debridement plus topical pirfenidone application in the pirfenidone group. Subjects will be instructed to do daily ulcer cleansing and for those in the topical pirfenidone group, in addition to cleansing they will be instructed to apply the gel twice a day.
The goal of the study is to evaluate the use of Ulcerative Colitis Diet for Induction of Remission. The investigators have postulated that we developed could be beneficial for patients with Ulcerative Colitis. To date, no study has explored this possibility.
INTRODUCTION: Vascular ulcers are an important pathology in the daily medical practice in all the assistance levels, and they have big repercussion referring to individual, social and labour levels, supposing a big consumption of human and material resources. The cure with autologous platelet rich plasma (autologous PRP) has demonstrated in different studies a decrease in the cicatrization time comparing to conventional methods in hospital levels, which becomes interesting contrasting its efficacy in primary care. AIM:Evaluate the efficacy of the autologous PRP in the treatment of vascular ulcers, comparing to the conventional treatment ( cure with humid environment), in primary care patients with chronic venous insufficiency in C-6 degree (CEAP classification). DESIGN: A study will be executed, which will consist in a randomized clinical test, multicentered, in parallel groups and opened. 150 patients suffering of venous vascular ulcers will be studied, who will be between the age of 40-100 years old, and who will be attached to 10 health centers. Variables for the identification, following, result and patient profile have been defined. Emphasize the variables of "ulcer area decreasing", "CIVIQ index", "% one cure per week".
The aim of this study is to determine the tolerability and potential efficacy of dietary therapy, the Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD), in pediatric patients with Crohn's disease (CD) and Ulcerative Colitis (UC). This is a single center, open labelled study designed to determine tolerability, preliminary safety and potential efficacy in pediatric patients with CD and UC. The study patients will be recruited from Seattle Children's GI clinic. the investigators will enroll 10 patients with mild to moderate CD (defined as PCDAI score of 10-29) or Ulcerative colitis (PUCAI 10-60) ages 8 to 21 years. Each patient will be in the study for approximately 12 weeks.
