The purpose of this pilot study is to assess adherence to a Novel Eating System (NES) with and without energy restriction.

NCT ID: NCT00905528 Completed - Clinical trials for Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

TRENDY Follow-up: Study on Endothelial Function in Subjects With Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

Start date: January 2002
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

Basal nitric oxide (NO) activity plays a pivotal role in the regulation of glomerular hemodynamics, and in animal experiments its alteration has been associated with morphological changes characteristic of diabetic nephropathy. The investigators aimed to assess in a prospective study: 1. basal NO activity of renal vasculature and 2. renal hemodynamics to examine whether impairment of basal NO activity of the renal vasculature is related to development and progression of diabetic nephropathy and other cardiovascular endpoints.

NCT ID: NCT00904176 Completed - Clinical trials for Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

Study of the Effect of Dapagliflozin on the Pharmacokinetics of Warfarin or Digoxin in Healthy Subjects

Start date: June 2009
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is determine that Dapagliflozin has no effect on the pharmacokinetics (PK) or pharmacodynamics (PD) of warfarin when dapagliflozin is coadministered with warfarin. Also, that Dapagliflozin has no effect on the PK of digoxin when dapagliflozin is coadministered with digoxin.

NCT ID: NCT00902161 Completed - Clinical trials for Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

Bioequivalence Study of Saxagliptin and Glucophage Combination Formulations in Healthy Subjects (A)

Start date: June 2009
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

To demonstrate bioequivalence of a 2.5 mg saxagliptin/500 mg metformin (glucophage) immediate release (IR) fixed dose combination (FDC) tablet to the 2.5 mg saxagliptin tablet and 500 mg metformin IR tablet co-administered to healthy subjects in a fasted and in a fed state.

Start date: June 2009
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

To demonstrate bioequivalence of a 2.5 mg saxagliptin/1000 mg metformin (glucophage) immediate release (IR) fixed dose combination (FDC) tablet to the 2.5 mg saxagliptin tablet and 1000 mg metformin IR tablet co-administered to healthy subjects in a fasted and in a fed state.

NCT ID: NCT00894322 Completed - Clinical trials for Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

A Study to Examine the Pharmacokinetics, Tolerability, Safety and Efficacy of Exenatide Once Weekly Suspension

Start date: April 2009
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study is designed to evaluate the pharmacokinetics, tolerability, and safety of exenatide once weekly suspension in both healthy subjects and in subjects with type 2 diabetes. The study will also evaluate efficacy in the type 2 diabetes patients. Development of this exenatide once weekly presentation would eliminate the need to reconstitute the product prior to use.

NCT ID: NCT00892372 Completed - Clinical trials for Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

Relationship Between Body Weight and Glycohemoglobin

Start date: April 2009
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

Control of body weight (BW) is important to prevent and manage type 2 diabetes. Regardless of the close association, little is understood about the precise relationship between BW and glycemic control, which might be of benefit for patients with type 2 diabetes. The researchers investigated the correlation between changes in BW and glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes treated with a diet therapy or pioglitazone.

NCT ID: NCT00888719 Completed - Clinical trials for Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

Therapeutic Exploratory Study of CWP-0403

Start date: February 2009
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Objective of the trial is to assess dose-dependency, efficacy and safety and to estimate optimum dosage for confirmatory study of CWP-0403 50mg, 100mg given twice daily for 12 weeks to type 2 diabetes patients who are insufficiently controlled by diet and exercise in comparison to placebo.
