NCT ID: NCT06198582 Completed - Clinical trials for Tendon Injury - Hand

The Effect of Virtual Reality Based Task Specific Exercises in Patients With Hand Flexor Tendon Injury

Start date: June 1, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study, the investigators aimed to investigate the effects of virtual reality-based task-specific exercises applied in addition to conventional rehabilitation program on functional level and disease-related quality of life in patients who underwent surgical repair due to flexor tendon damage due to traumatic hand injury.

NCT ID: NCT05785520 Completed - Clinical trials for Long Head of Biceps Rupture

Evaluation of the "ST500 SINGLE- DOSE GEL" in Patients With Symptomatic Long Head of the Biceps Tendon Injury

Start date: November 30, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Single arm, post-market, confirmatory, interventional clinical investigation - Medical Device

NCT ID: NCT05755750 Completed - Clinical trials for Superficial Digital Flexor Tendonitis

Intratendinous Genipin Injection in Horses With Tendon Injuries

Start date: June 28, 2016
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

Our study is the first to use genipin, a naturally occurring collagen cross-linking agent, as a therapeutic agent to treat superficial digital flexor tendon (SDFT) injuries in horses. The promising approach of intratendinous genipin injection and tendon mechanical enhancement could be a viable alternative to current therapies for SDFT injuries.

NCT ID: NCT05598918 Completed - Tendon Injuries Clinical Trials

Comparison of Early Passive and Active Mobilization Protocols in Flexor Tendon Repair Rehabilitation of the Hand

Start date: April 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Many active and passive rehabilitation programs are applied in the rehabilitation processes after flexor tendon repair. There is no clear rehabilitation program accepted by the whole world. An accurate understanding of these injuries at the histological and biomechanical level is necessary to improve rehabilitation outcomes. Mechanical properties of tendons, such as their viscoelasticity, are affected by the increase in stiffness caused by the rupture, repair, and healing process. Previous studies have shown that the mechanical properties of a repaired tendon, such as stiffness, material properties and functionality of tendon tissue Shear-wave elastography can detect pathological changes in tendinopathy before they are visible on conventional Ultrasonography imaging. In addition, shear wave elastography allows the evaluation of quantitative measurements and is considered more objective because it provides reproducible results. Our aim in this study is to evaluate the changes in the mechanical properties of the hand flexor tendons repaired using shear wave elastography (SWE) during the rehabilitation process and natural process and their effect on functionality.

NCT ID: NCT05527886 Completed - Tendon Injuries Clinical Trials

Acute Effects of Dynamic Stretching, Plyometrics, and Loading on Achilles Tendon Properties and Performance Outcomes

Start date: January 18, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The study will be looking at acute changes in Achilles tendon properties and changes in a vertical single leg hop following an exercise intervention. The three exercise interventions will be randomized and take place on separate days 1 week apart. The three exercise interventions are AAROM, slow load, and plyometrics.

NCT ID: NCT05413031 Completed - Hand Tendon Injury Clinical Trials

Comparing Relative Motion Splint With Static Splint After Hand Extensor Tendon Repair

Start date: January 30, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Different splints are used after hand extensor tendon repair (including relative motion splint, static splint, etc.) There is no consensus regarding the benefits of either one. The aim of this study is to compare clinical outcomes after using different orthoses and rehabilitation methods after hand extensor tendon repair. Patients are randomly assigned after signing consent to either immobilization with a static splint or a relative motion splint. Patients are examined after 2 and 5 months postoperatively for finger range of motion, grip strength, and DASH questionnaire.

NCT ID: NCT05254470 Completed - Back Pain Clinical Trials

Real-World Experience of Patients Treated for Musculoskeletal Injuries With SAM in Routine Care

Start date: September 1, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to evaluate continuous ultrasound treatment with diclofenac coupling patch during routine care of musculoskeletal injuries which failed conservative treatment to better understand clinical utilization of the treatment on types of injuries, how the treatment helps patients (pain, function and quality of life), and information on healthcare provider ordering the therapy and general workflow. Low-intensity continuous ultrasound (LICUS) is a bio regenerative technology used when normal rehabilitation is insufficient, applied with a wearable device (SAM, Zetroz Systems LLC) for daily use. The treatment provides long-duration ultrasound for approximately four hours. The objective of this study is to examine the real-world outcome data on symptoms improvement and return to function using SAM during routine care.

NCT ID: NCT05220969 Completed - Clinical trials for Genetic Predisposition

Total Genotype Score, Growth, Maturation and Loading Exposure as Risk Factors for Injury in Elite Male Youth Football

Start date: December 1, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

A total genotype risk score was generated based on the findings of previous research for non-contact injury, non-contact muscle injury, tendon injury, ligament injury, fracture injury and apophysitis injury. This score was then compared with the incidence of injury between those with high, medium and low risk scores for each injury. The influence of different rates of growth, stages of physical maturation and loading exposure were then also included in the risk model to see if any interaction effects could be observed between genetic risk score and susceptibility to injury in different categories of growth, maturation and loading exposure.

NCT ID: NCT04820699 Completed - Hamstring Injury Clinical Trials

Start date: January 15, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This project was a Randomized clinical trial conducted COMPARATIVE STUDY OF POST ISOMETRIC RELAXATION AND MULLIGAN BENT LEG RAISE ON HAMSTRING TIGHTNESS IN HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

NCT ID: NCT04742296 Completed - Clinical trials for Tendon Injury - Hand

The Effects of Low-level Laser Therapy in Extensor Tendon Injuries Between Zones 5-8

Start date: April 30, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study examines the rehabilitation results when low-level laser therapy is applied in zone 5-8 extensor tendon injuries. Rehabilitation results will be evaluated with both objective measurements and patient reported outcome measures. The study was planned as a double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized, two-arm study. Participants in both treatment groups will be given exercise therapy in accordance with the early active mobilization protocol and appropriate splint will be given to be used while exercising.
