The aim of the study is to review patients operated on remotely kick heel and describe how they return in their sports (resilience, type of activities carried out, recovery times). The aim of this study is to evaluate the clinical and functional results of patients of age Pediatric treated in the investigator's SC Orthopedics Pediatric Traumatology department for flat feet with "calcaneostop" surgery. The study aims to describe the method of resuming sports activities, analyzing the timing and difficulties declared by patients after surgery, with the help of specific questionnaires.
Introduction. One of the most common injuries in competitive esports professionals is dorsolumbar and neck pain, due to the effort caused by the maintenance of the site for long periods of time. Cervical motor control exercises recruit the deep musculature by increasing its strength and reducing muscle fatigue. Aim. Evaluate the effectiveness of motor control exercises in cervical muscle fatigue and strength, in electronic athletes from 18 to 25 years. Study design. Randomized clinical trial, simple blind. Methods. 30 electronic athletes will be randomly assigned in two groups: experimental (which will perform 3 sessions of 3 motor control exercises) and control (which will not perform any type of intervention). The intervention will last 6 weeks, with 3 weekly sessions of 10 minutes each. The study variables are the muscle strength of the deep cervical muscle (measured by a stabilizer pressure gauge) and the subjective perception of the effort (Borg scale). Expected results. The aim is an improvement in the muscular strength of deep cervical muscles, together with a decrease in subjective perception of exertion.
The aim of this study is first to construct a database containing psychophysiological data from athletes performing a maximal effort test. Second, the investigators want to use the data to optimize the methodological approach during, and trainings advice after maximal effort tests.
This study evaluates effect of self-myofascial release in different paces on muscle biomechanics. All participants will use foam roller in different paces once in a week with weeks apart.
Hypothesis of the clinical study: There are differences between the Water Polo Group and the Non-Water Polo Group in terms of shoulder parameters and core (lumbopelvic) parameters and there are differences between the throwing and non-throwing sides in terms of shoulder parameters in Water Polo Group.
Handball is reported to be top 5 in Europe when it comes to sports injuries. There are few studies based on player reported data, and earlier Swedish data is mainly based on data from Insurance ´companies and mostly acute injuries. Earlier data lack the overuse injuries and number of injuries are taught to be underreported. This epidemiological study has the objective to create research based knowledge about the injury panorama within Swedish handball with special interest in head-injuries in the elite level. By using a mobile application "AIM Control", a retrospective weekly registration of handball related injuries was recorded together with self-assessed injury impact. Also data about sports/exercise exposure, other causes that could affect the players ability to practice/play matches, self-rated recovery before next practice/match as well as positive and negative affects will be analyzed. Special emphasis is given to self-reported head injuries and the symptoms that the player might experience during the handball season 2019/2020. Data about symptom severity will be collected and analyzed together with AIM Controls other variables i.e. duration of symptoms and time to return-to-play. In case of a head-injury the Medical support team is contacted in order to describe the event, and interviewed with standardized questions about their thinking and action about how head injuries should be managed and prognosis of time to recovery and how to decide when a player is ready to play again? This is part of the AIM Control study called SWECON - handball.
There has been an increasing interest in Kinesiology Tape(KT) and Biomechanical Tape(BT) in clinics and athletic competitions. Recently; the performance increasing effect of taping methods on healthy subjects in sports is being investigated.
The objective of this study was to determine the effect of proprioceptive and neuromuscular training on landing errors and balance of the football players. This was randomized controlled trial in which 40 football players were randomly allocated into experimental and control group. The control group followed conventional exercise plan while experimental group players were being trained under Myklebust's training program. Data were collected at baseline and after follow-up of five weeks Landing Error Score System (LESS) and Biodex Single Leg Stability (SLS) score. Data were analyzed using statistical package for social sciences (SPSS)-21.
The main aim of the study is to prevent the injuries during cricket.Total 60 players were included in the study. 20 players were in warm up group,20 players were in cool down group and 20 players in control group.Base line assessment was by 100m sprint, Illinios agility test, 3 minute burpee test, SEBT and plank. After intervention of 6 weeks assessment will be done again by using the same tests.
The main aim of this study is to determine the effect of carbohydrate loading with combination of agility training in performance of tennis players as previous studies did not show the combining effects of carbohydrate loading and agility training.Total 60 players will be included in this study from which 30 tennis players are in control group and 30 tennis players in experimental group. Baseline Glucose level will be assessed by Gluco-meter before and after intervention of the study each day. In experimental group 50 % carbohydrate will be given in first 3 days and 70 % in next 3 days respectively. Average carbohydrates required for athletes are 6 to 10 gram per kilogram per day. T-Test, Illinois agility test and Agility Compass drill test will use as baseline assessment and after 6 days of intervention and vertical jump height will be assessed through force plates. In control group T-Test will be performed, Illinois agility test and Agility Compass drill test, after 6 days of intervention and vertical jump height will be assessed through force plates.
