MR/TRUS Fusion Guided Prostate Biopsy

Start date: May 11, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study will determine if targeted (Magnetic Resonance (MR) / Ultrasound (US) fusion biopsy) plus conventional biopsy is superior to conventional biopsy alone in diagnosing subjects with prostate cancer.

NCT ID: NCT03711643 Recruiting - Prostatic Diseases Clinical Trials

Hypnosis Mask: a New Approach to Management of Pain in Medical Imaging

HYPNOTIC
Start date: May 7, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The prostatic biopsies echo-guided are a painful and stressful. The purpose is to test a new medical device created recently, " Hypnos-Pro ", wich uses connected technologies. This connected device is a mask with diodes coupled with an audio headset and a touch pad. This connected mask is an another option to induce an hypnotic state for our patients. the objective is to value hypnotic mask effectiveness, to reduce the level pain and anxiety for the patients who benefit a prostatic biopsies echo-guided with local anesthesia.

NCT ID: NCT03658408 Withdrawn - Prostate Disease Clinical Trials

4-aminopyridine Treatment for Nerve Injury From Radical Retro-Pubic Prostatectomy

Start date: October 3, 2018
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to see if the study drug 4-aminopyridine (4-AP) can help speed up the recovery of peripheral nerve injury after prostatectomy. 4-AP is a potassium channel blocker used to improve walking in multiple sclerosis patients. Investigators will measure the effect that 4-AP may have on the recovery of sexual function and urinary incontinence after prostatectomy.

NCT ID: NCT03597386 Withdrawn - Prostate Disease Clinical Trials

ConfirmMDx Assay in Multiparametric MRI (mpMRI) PIRADS Scored Lesions After a Negative MR/US Fusion Biopsy

Start date: January 23, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to see if the ConfirmMDx assay is useful in finding prostate cancer in patients who are at increased risk for prostate cancer based on elevated PSA and prostate lesion identified on mpMRI.

NCT ID: NCT03589196 Enrolling by invitation - Clinical trials for Prostatic Hyperplasia

Ejaculation Preserving Photoselective Vaporization Versus Plasma Kinetic Vaporization Versus Transurethral Resection Of The Prostate: A RCT

EPPROSTATECT
Start date: March 10, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

To Evaluate and compare the outcome and coast of ejaculation sparing management of BPH using 3 different techniques: PVP, PKVP and TURP. Ejaculation sparing TURP group is considered the standard control group. Evaluation will be carried out through a prospective randomized powered trial

NCT ID: NCT03543189 Active, not recruiting - Prostate Cancer Clinical Trials

Combination of Nivolumab Immunotherapy With Radiation Therapy and Androgen Deprivation Therapy

Start date: October 3, 2018
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to test the safety, tolerability, and effectiveness of the investigational drug nivolumab (Opdivoâ„¢) in combination with high dose radiation. Investigators also want to see if these study drugs help to delay the progression of prostate cancer.

NCT ID: NCT03503643 Enrolling by invitation - Prostate Cancer Clinical Trials

Hemi-Gland Cryoablation for Prostate Cancer at UCLA

Start date: September 14, 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This is a prospective data collection of men who are electing to undergo prostate hemi-gland cryoablation. The purpose of this observational research study is to investigate the localized treatment of prostate cancer using hemi-gland cryoablation. UCLA patients undergoing hemi-gland cryoablation are a unique cohort compared to prior research because all patients at UCLA have had a pre-treatment multi-parametric MRI and Ultrasound fusion targeted biopsy; they will be followed in a similar fashion. This results in more precise assessment of a target region of cancer for ablation which may, in turn, result in improved clinical outcomes.

NCT ID: NCT03350529 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia

MRI Guided Transurethral HIFU for Various Prostate Diseases

HIFU-PRO
Start date: July 24, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study assesses feasibility and safety, the primary outcomes, of MRI guided transurethral high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) ablation for prostate diseases (PD). We will enrol 10 patients to each group with criteria as follows: localised prostate cancer (PC); locally advanced PC; locally recurrent PC after external beam radiation therapy (EBRT); benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Secondary outcomes are both oncologic and functional outcomes and imaging based follow up after HIFU therapy will be also assessed.

NCT ID: NCT03344757 Active, not recruiting - Prostate Neoplasm Clinical Trials

Health Gatherings - For Your Health After Cancer

Start date: October 5, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to look at the effects of a 10-week stress management in-person group program. The program will study emotions, stress, and stress management techniques (such as relaxation and coping techniques) on quality of life, distress, depression, and physical health in Spanish- speaking, Hispanic/Latino men diagnosed with Prostate Cancer (PC).

NCT ID: NCT03192917 Completed - Clinical trials for Erectile Dysfunction

Low-energy Extracorporeal Shockwave Treatment for Patients After Radical Prostatectomy

Start date: November 1, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this project is to verify the relationship between low intensity shock wave treatment (LI-SWT) and increased scores in self-assessment regarding to erectile function (ED) and sexual intercourse, in patients, who has undergone a radical prostatectomy (RP). The data will be obtained from patients using international accepted sexual questionnaires prior to the LI-SWT and 5, 12 and 24 weeks following treatment.
