Filter by:The etiology of Goal B type basilar invagination (BI) is still not clear, and it may be related to platybasia and short slope. There is no unified standard surgical strategy for Goal B type BI, and different surgical strategies have a great influence on the surgical results of patients. The purpose of our prospective study in China is to (1) further clarify the etiology of Goal B type BI, and (2) improve the surgical outcome in these patients.
Study design: Randomized control trial Purpose: Evaluate the efficacy of oral administration of tranexamic acid (TXA) in spine surgeries to achieve blood loss reduction. Methods. A total of 60 patients undergoing major surgery of the spine, were randomly assigned into 2 groups. Group 1 was assigned as the control group and the other one included oral administration of tranexamic acid 2 hours prior to surgery. Outcomes measures included intraoperative blood loss, postoperative blood loss, hematological parameters, blood transfusion needed, and surgical complications.
The trial is a prospective,multi-center, randomized and self-controlled clinical trial. The research plan will be implemented in a clinical trial center with the qualification of clinical trial agency, and 128 subjects will be planned to be included. Subjects signing the Informed Consent Form, meeting the trial conditions and all inclusion criteria and failing to meet any exclusion criteria will be included in the research. The trial device was Colon Capsule Endoscope System for colonoscopy(PC-I) manufactured by ANKON Technologies Co.,Ltd. while the comparator device was Capsule Endoscopy System(PillCam COLON2) manufactured by Given Imaging Inc. The main evaluation indicator is the excellent rate of image quality, while secondary evaluation indicators are the consistency rate of lesion detection, completion rate of colonoscopy, discharge time of capsule endoscopy, colon passing time and device performance evaluation. Safety evaluation indicators include adverse events(or Serious adverse events), device-related adverse events(or Serious adverse events) and device defects. In the end, the effectiveness and safety of Colon Capsule Endoscopy diagnostic system manufactured by ANKON Technologies Co.,Ltd. for capturing and viewing colon images clinically were verified according to the above indicator results.

In this study, patients with mucosal healing are defined as a control group, observing their clinical outcomes for 3 years, and describing the recurrence rate. The secondary objective is to study the operative rate, glucocorticoid utilization rate, treatment escalation rate, hospitalization rate and incidence of related complications.
