NCT ID: NCT05739058 Completed - Wound Heal Clinical Trials

Violet-Blue Light Inactivation of Bacteria in Chronic Wounds

Start date: March 22, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This four-week prospective clinical investigation will assess the safety and feasibility of a medical device without CE-marking. The medical device is a light-emitting-diode (LED) and is manufactured by VulCur MedTech Aps. Violet-blue light treatment is tested on a total of twenty-two patients with chronic wounds, divided into three groups, each group only receiving one dosage. Three dosages (low, medium and high) of violet-blue light treatment is tested. ID 1-7 are assigned to the low group, ID 8-15 are assigned to medium group and ID 16-22 are assigned to the high dosage group.

NCT ID: NCT03643419 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Spinal Cord Injuries

Clinical Study of Treatment of Acute Spinal Cord Injury by Near Infrared Light Irradiation

Start date: September 1, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study was to observe the therapeutic effect of near-infrared light irradiation on the treatment of acute spinal cord injury in humans, and whether it can promote the recovery of neurological function. Half of the patients underwent laminectomy and decompression surgery, and the other half of the patients were implanted with irradiated fibers for irradiation after surgery.

NCT ID: NCT00351689 Completed - Photobiology Clinical Trials

Placebo-controlled Assessment of the Effect of a Food Supplement on Skin Protection After Exposure to UV Radiation

Start date: January 2004
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

A probiotic bacterial strain was tested in a randomized, double blind , placebo controlled clinical trial with 54 healthy male volunteers. Half the volunteers received the dietary supplement the other half placebo during 6 weeks prior to exposure to solar-simulated UV irradition (2x1,5MED). Blister roofs and skin biopsies were recovered 1, 4 and 10 days after UV exposure from unirradiated and irradiated skin and used for immunohistochemical analysis and mixed epidermal cell lymphocyte reaction
