View clinical trials related to Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation.
Filter by:This clinical investigation is a prospective, multicenter, single arm clinical evaluation utilizing the multi-electrode radiofrequency balloon catheter and the multi-electrode circular diagnostic catheter.
This clinical investigation is intended to demonstrate the acute safety and effectiveness of ablation with the TactiCath™ Contact Force Ablation Catheter, Sensor Enabled™ (TactiCath SE) for the treatment of drug refractory recurrent symptomatic paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (PAF). This clinical investigation will be conducted under an investigational device exemption (IDE) and is intended to support market approval of the TactiCath SE ablation catheter in the United States. One hundred fifty six (156) subjects will be enrolled at up to 35 investigational sites in the US, Europe, and Australia. This clinical investigation is sponsored by Abbott.
This prospective, multicenter observational study will examine the ability of model based fast anatomical mapping (mFAM) to create left atrial (LA) geometry for atrial fibrillation ablation.
The purpose of the DIAMOND-AF study is to establish the safety and effectiveness of the DiamondTemp System for the treatment of drug refractory, recurrent, symptomatic paroxysmal atrial fibrillation in patients.
Retrospective data collection on re-ablations performed within the FIRE AND ICE Trial.
This study evaluates cardiac structure and function differences between healthy endurance trained athletes with atrial fibrillation and healthy age matched endurance trained athletes without atrial fibrillation. It is hypothesized that despite having similar structural adaptations of the heart (due to endurance training), athletes with atrial fibrillation display will impaired heart functional measures compared to endurance athletes without atrial fibrillation.
A randomized, open, mono-centric pilot study to investigate the influence of an innovative telemetric smartphone application on re-hospitalization and quality of life after cryoballoon pulmonary vein isolation in patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation.
The purpose of this non-randomized, non-controlled, acute, single-arm research study is to evaluate the feasibility to obtain a stable position of a ring of stimulation electrodes on the interatrial septum. The possibility to terminate atrial arrythmias will also be evaluated.
The objective of the study is to collect data on the use of the Rhythmia HDx mapping system running commercially available Software Version 2.0 or any future commercially available Software Version with DirectSense technology and the IntellaMap OrionTM mapping catheter in patients indicated for ablation treatment for de-novo Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation (PAF). The study will collect specific information to characterize the DirectSense technology in subjects undergoing catheter-based endocardial mapping and ablation for de-novo PAF using a commercial Rhythmia HDx mapping system. The clinical local impedance data will be used in order to generate usage guidance on the DirectSense local impedance feature in the management of de-novo PAF cases requiring Pulmonary Vein Isolation (PVI) and in order to further develop a future lesion indexing feature.
CartoUnivu™ module easily integrates into the workflow of PVI with the endpoint of unexcitability of the ablation line without prolonging the procedure time. It is associated with a marked reduction in fluoroscopic dose when compared to a conventional 3D-mapping system. The aim of this prospective randomized study is to evaluate during pulmonary vein isolation (PVI) for paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (PAF) whether the use of the IIM is: 1. feasible, 2. can help to reduce fluoroscopy time and burden and 3. has an influence on the procedure duration.
