Exercise Effect on Chemotherapy-Induced Neuropathic Pain

Chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) continues to be a serious healthcare concern. It is painful, persistent, resistant to conventional pain therapies, and results in long-term suffering and decreased quality of life for many cancer survivors. The role of exercise to decrease CIPN-related neuropathic pain (CIPN-NP) will be investigated, with the goal of identifying the mechanisms associated with this therapeutic approach to manage CIPN-NP.

Optimisation of Disease Management in Patients With Epithelial Ovarian Cancer in France

No structured organization for ovarian first line management emerges in France. Management across France seems to depend on regional contexts. Regions display no specific organization or delineate regional network for the ovarian cancer management or report centralized management revolving around referent centers. These different templates present a major problem in identifying differences, costs and benefit. To deal with this issue the Investigators propose a health economic evaluation based on cost-effectiveness analyses, completed with a budget impact analysis. This study will investigate the cost-effective management of patients with initial ovarian cancer using databases representative of different parts of French territories.

Folate Receptor Alpha Peptide Vaccine With GM-CSF Versus GM-CSF Alone in Patients With Platinum Sensitive Ovarian Cancer

This is a double-blind, randomized, parallel groups Phase II trial. Patients with platinum-sensitive advanced ovarian cancer, defined as a lack of progression by RECIST v1.1 criteria following completion of standard-of-care chemotherapy, including a minimum of 4 cycles of a platinum-containing regimen. Patients will be randomized to either the vaccine regimen with GM-CSF adjuvant or GM-CSF adjuvant alone as a control group. Treatment will be administered as a consolidation therapy within one year of the last administration of platinum, targeting the first remission.

Determinants of Age-Related Treatment Effectiveness in Ovarian Cancer

This study aims to understand two things: How body composition (the amount of muscle and water versus fat in in the body) affects the dose and side effects of chemotherapy; and the biological reason for the worse prognosis with aging. To get a good view of these effects, investigators are asking the help of both younger and older women for this project.

BRCA 1/2 Mutation in Korean Patients With Epithelial Ovarian Cancer

PURPOSE: To investigate the prevalence and clinical correlation of the germline BRCA 1/2 mutation in Korean patients with high grade(HG) serous and/or endometrioid epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC). PATIENTS AND METHODS: In a nationwide case-control study on EOC conducted in Korea between 2010 and 2015, 298 Korean women with HG serous and/or endometrioid EOC were tested for gBRCA 1/2 mutation, regardless of the family history. Mutation screening was performed using the Ion AmpliSeq BRCA 1/2 Panel (Life Technologies, Carlsbad, CA, USA) and Ion PGM platform according to the manufacturer's instructions. Clinical characteristics including survival outcome was assessed in gBRCAm carriers.

EURAD MRI Classification of US Indeterminate Adnexa Lesions

Investigators from the UW will be contributing coded MR images and associated health information (US results, laboratory/pathology results) to the EURAD trial. In addition, outcomes data on each patient will be sent at month 24 of the research.

A Study to Determine the Safety of BTP-114 for Treatment in Patients With Advanced Solid Tumors With BRCA Mutations

This is a phase 1, Open-label, multicenter Dose Escalation study of BTP-114, a novel platinum product, in patients with advanced solid tumors and BRCA or other DNA repair mutation. This clinical study is comprised of 2 sequential parts: Part 1 (Dose Escalation) and Part 2 (Expansion). The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety, pharmacokinetics and the anti-cancer activity of BTP-114.
