Filter by:Carcinosarcomas (CS) (malignant mixed Müllerian tumors) are highly aggressive and rare tumors with a worldwide annual incidence between 0.5-3.3 cases/100.000 women. Gynecological CS, i.e. ovarian CS (OCS) and uterine CS (UCS), have a 5-year overall survival (OS) < 10% and a poor prognosis. After initial treatment (surgery +/- adjuvant radiotherapies +/- chemotherapies (CT)), vast majority of patients relapsed and received diverse CT producing modest benefits, and nearly all patients will die. After first line CT including platinum salt, monotherapy (doxorubicin or paclitaxel) is frequently used for relapsed patients, but the response rate (RR) is <20%, progression-free survival (PFS) <4 months, and OS <1 year. In this unmet need situation, a better knowledge of these aggressive neoplasms is essential to propose new therapeutic options.
DICE is a randomised study recruiting 126 women over 3 years from hospitals in the UK and Germany. Eligible patients will have tissue based diagnosis of advanced/recurrent ovarian cancer (clear cell, endometrioid or high grade serous or carcinosarcoma), have had chemotherapy before, and be platinum-resistant (the cancer has returned/grown significantly during or within 6 months of platinum-containing chemotherapy).
The purpose of this study is evaluate the pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, immunogenicity and anti-tumor effect of of fully human anti - VEGF monoclonal antibody LY00101 and explore the potential prognostic and predictive biomarkers. This study will not take into account the results of molecular-genetic tests of patients enrolled in the study
JAVELIN Ovarian PARP 100 (B9991030) is an open-label, randomized study designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of avelumab in combination with chemotherapy followed by maintenance therapy of avelumab in combination with talazoparib versus an active comparator in treatment-naïve patients with locally advanced or metastatic ovarian cancer (Stage III or Stage IV). On March 19, 2019, Sponsors alliance announced the discontinuation of the ongoing Phase III study, and the decision was based on several factors, including previous announced interim results from JAVELIN Ovarian 100 study (B9991010). Patients who remain in B9991030 study will continue receiving their randomized treatment assigned and will be monitored for appropriate safety assessments until treatment discontinuation.
Many individuals with ovarian cancer experience distress, fatigue, weakness, anxiety, and other symptoms that decrease quality of life. Moderate exercise may improve quality of life, decrease distress, and improve biomarkers associated with prognosis in individuals with ovarian cancer. This clinical trial studies how well moderate exercise works in improving distress, quality of life, and biomarkers of angiogenesis and chronic stress in individuals with ovarian, fallopian tube, and primary peritoneal cancer.
This is a Phase 1b/2 study of AVB-S6-500 in combination with pegylated liposomal doxorubicin (PLD) or paclitaxel (Pac) in patients with platinum resistant recurrent ovarian cancer. The phase 1b portion of the study is open label and patients will receive either AVB-S6-500+PLD or AVB-S6-500+ Pac. The Phase 2 portion of the study is randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study to compare efficacy and tolerability of AVB-S6-500 in combination with PLD or Pac versus placebo plus PLD or Pac.
This is a single arm, open-label, uni-center, phase I-II study to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of CAR-T/TCR-T cell immunotherapy in treating with different malignancies patients.
This multicenter, double-blind, 2-arm, randomized study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of bevacizumab plus paclitaxel and caboplatin compared with placebo plus paclitaxel and caboplatin in Chinese participants with newly diagnosed, previously untreated Stage III or Stage IV epithelial ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer. Participants whose disease has not progressed after six cycles of paclitaxel and carboplatin with either bevacizumab or placebo will continue treatment with either bevacizumab or placebo until disease progression, unacceptable toxicity, or a maximum of 22 cycles, whichever occurs first.
This study will analyze and evaluate the following items: 1. The safety of natural killer(NK) cells for treatment of subjects with solid tumors. Forty patients will be enrolled for each of the five cancers (in total 200 patients will be enrolled). 2. The effectiveness of natural killer(NK)cell therapy alone or with chemotherapy or targeted drugs. Subjects from 18 to 75 years of age who are diagnosed with a solid tumor including pancreatic cancer, lung cancer, breast cancer, ovarian cancer and colon cancer, and for whom standard treatments are not effective, may be eligible for this study. Participants undergo the following procedures: Peripheral blood will be collected from a vein of arm. Peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMC) will be isolated and purified for NK manufacturing. After 14~21 days cultivation, activated NK will be harvested and formulated for clinical administration. Subjects will receive NK cell treatment by intravenous infusion. The frequency is once every 3 or 4 weeks for the first 3 months. Participants who respond well after 3 months may be eligible to continue NK cell therapy; and those not may receive NK therapy combined with chemotherapy and/or targeted drugs, or chemotherapy/targeted drugs alone. Evaluations during therapy including: 1. Clinical assessment, and history of medications; 2. Blood draws for routine and research tests, including but not limited to: lymphocyte population and circulating tumor cell analysis in peripheral blood; 3. CT scan, bone scan and positron emission tomography(PET )scan, if indicated, for disease evaluation; 4. Pharmacokinetics study after NK infusion. For this test, the number of NK cells in the blood is measured over time at indicated time-points.
This is a Phase 1, open-label, dose-escalation and dose-expansion study to evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetic (PK), pharmacodynamic (PD) and clinical activity of etrumadenant (AB928) in combination with zimberelimab (AB122) (an anti-PD-1 antibody) in participants with advanced malignancies.
