NCT ID: NCT00003449 Completed - Ovarian Cancer Clinical Trials

Combination Chemotherapy in Treating Patients With Platinum-Resistant Recurrent Ovarian Cancer

Start date: May 1998
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of dexamethasone plus paclitaxel and gemcitabine in treating patients with platinum-resistant recurrent ovarian cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00003425 Completed - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Phase I/II Study of Escalating-Dose Melphalan w/Autologous SCS & Amifostine Cytoprotect

Start date: December 1997
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining chemotherapy with peripheral stem cell transplantation may allow the doctor to give higher doses of chemotherapy drugs and kill more tumor cells. Chemoprotective drugs such as amifostine may protect normal cells from the side effects of chemotherapy. PURPOSE: Phase I/II trial to study the effectiveness of high-dose melphalan plus peripheral stem cell transplantation and amifostine in treating patients with cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00003413 Completed - Ovarian Cancer Clinical Trials

Combination Chemotherapy Plus Peripheral Stem Cell Transplantation in Treating Patients With Stage III or Stage IV Ovarian Epithelial Cancer

Start date: September 1998
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug with peripheral stem cell transplantation may allow the doctor to give higher doses of chemotherapy drugs and kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of combination chemotherapy plus peripheral stem cell transplantation in treating patients with stage III or stage IV ovarian epithelial cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00003408 Completed - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Biological Therapy Following Chemotherapy and Peripheral Stem Cell Transplantation in Treating Patients With Cancer

Start date: April 1998
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Biological therapies use different ways to stimulate the immune system and stop cancer cells from growing. Combining chemotherapy and peripheral stem cell transplantation with biological therapy may kill more cancer cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of biological therapy with sargramostim, interleukin-2, and interferon alfa following chemotherapy and peripheral stem cell transplantation in treating patients who have cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00003386 Terminated - Ovarian Cancer Clinical Trials

Vaccine Therapy in Treating Patients With Stage III or Stage IV Ovarian Epithelial Cancer

Start date: July 1999
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Vaccines made from tumor tissue may make the body build an immune response and kill tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of vaccine therapy in treating patients who have stage III or stage IV ovarian epithelial cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00003385 Completed - Ovarian Cancer Clinical Trials

Combination Chemotherapy in Treating Patients With Untreated Ovarian, Peritoneal, or Fallopian Tube Cancer

Start date: March 1999
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of combination chemotherapy consisting of liposomal doxorubicin, paclitaxel, and carboplatin in treating patients who have untreated ovarian, peritoneal, or fallopian tube cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00003382 Terminated - Ovarian Cancer Clinical Trials

Combination Chemotherapy Consisting of Gemcitabine And Topotecan in Treating Patients With Refractory or Recurrent Ovarian or Fallopian Tube Cancer

Start date: May 1998
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of combination chemotherapy consisting of gemcitabine and topotecan in treating patients with refractory or recurrent ovarian or fallopian tube cancer.
