Filter by:This phase II trial studies how well durvalumab works in treating patients with prostate cancer that is resistant to hormones and has spread to other places in the body. Monoclonal antibodies, such as durvalumab, may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread.
Heparin is a blood thinner used to prevent blood clots in patients on a form of life-support called ECMO. Heparin can cause bleeding - the most common complication of ECMO. New materials used in ECMO machines may help prevent clots - this could allow the use of lower doses of heparin which might reduce the risk of bleeding. Our study will compare low dose to high dose heparin in patients on ECMO. We think low dose heparin may be adequate to prevent clotting, but may cause less bleeding and be safer for patients.
Concussion is the most common type of brain injury throughout life. Study is seeking improvement of long-term residua following adolescent and adult post-traumatic injuries often associated with contact sports and accidental causes. Typically defined as reversible head injury with temporary loss of brain function. Symptoms range from physical, cognitive, pain (headache) and emotional signs consistent with TBI and Post-Traumatic Stress Syndrome. Use of AD-cSVF parenteral delivery to encourage repair of damage and decreased function following concussion, particularly in contact, repetitive sports injuries. Range of damage is measured in Grade I-III according to graduated severity. Unfortunately, less information is available about repetitive concussions and the long-term health issues.
The goal of this clinical research study is to learn if Imbruvica (ibrutinib) alone and then in combination with Opdivo (nivolumab) can control NSCLC in patients who have received previous chemotherapy treatment.
This phase II trial studies the side effects of PD 0360324 and cyclophosphamide and to see how well they work in treating patients with high-grade epithelial ovarian, primary peritoneal, or fallopian tube cancer that has come back after a period of improvement. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as PD 0360324, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Cyclophosphamide may stop the growth of disease by blocking the growth of new blood vessels necessary for tumor growth. Giving PD 0360324 and cyclophosphamide may work better in treating patients with high-grade epithelial ovarian, primary peritoneal, or fallopian tube cancer.
This study is a Phase 3, double blind, placebo controlled, randomized, stratified, parallel group, multi-center clinical trial designed to compare the efficacy and safety of bococizumab 150 mg SC Q2wks to placebo for LDL-C lowering in subjects with primary hyperlipidemia or mixed dyslipidemia at high or very high risk for CV events. The study will enroll a total of approximately 750 subjects from 4 - 5 Asian countries/areas (including China mainland); of which approximately 600 subjects will be from sites in China. Subjects will be randomized into a bococizumab treatment arm and a placebo arm in a 1:1 ratio.
This pilot clinical trial studies how well gemcitabine hydrochloride, cisplatin, and AGS-003-BLD work in treating patients with bladder cancer that has spread to the muscle and who are undergoing surgery. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as gemcitabine hydrochloride and cisplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Vaccines made from a person's tumor cells may help the body build an effective immune response to kill tumor cells. Giving gemcitabine hydrochloride, cisplatin, and AGS-003-BLD before surgery may make the tumor smaller and reduce the amount of tissue that needs to be removed by surgery.
Background: Preoperative pathologic diagnosis of subepithelial tumor (SET) can improve clinical decision making. Although EUS-guided fine needle aspiration (FNA) is currently considered the standard method for sampling SET, its diagnostic yield is generally suboptimal. EUS-guided fine needle biopsy (FNB) of SET is safe and feasible with adequate histology obtained. Objective: To compare the diagnostic accuracy of EUS-FNA and EUS-FNB.
The main purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of gemcitabine-carboplatin plus necitumumab in chemotherapy-naïve participants with locally advanced or metastatic squamous non-small cell lung cancer.
This study aim to detect change in vascular inflammation following intense lipid lowering therapy
