Filter by:The purpose of the study is to learn about the safety, pharmacokinetics and antiviral activity of the study medicine (called sisunatovir/RV521) for the potential treatment of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). Sisunatovir will be given as multiple doses during the treatment period. RSV is a highly contagious virus that can lead to serious lung infections in patients with reduced ability to fight infection. Most vulnerable populations include babies, the elderly and patients that have received a bone marrow transplant. This study is seeking healthy participants who are: 1. Aged 18 to 45 years old and will agree to the use of highly effective methods of contraception. 2. with a body mass index (BMI) of 18.0 to 30.0 Kg/m2 This study will consist of 2 cohorts of 33 participants each. In both cohorts participants will be exposed to the challenge virus on study day 0. Cohort 1 will receive either 200 mg of sisunatovir or placebo (looks the same as sisunatovir but contains no active medicine) 2 times a day for 5 days. Cohort 2 will receive either 350 mg of sisunatovir or placebo 2 times a day for 5 days. Participants will start taking the study medicine upon confirmation of RSV infection (or evening of Day 5 if not positive to RSV). The study medicine will be administered 12 hours apart (or twice daily). Each participant will remain in the quarantine unit until discharge on Day 12.
This is a Phase 2, open-label, 2-part, multicenter study in subjects with MSS relapsed/refractory colorectal cancer. The primary objective of Part 1 is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of escalating doses of eFT508 in combination with a fixed dose of avelumab to determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) of eFT508 and to select a recommended dose for Part 2. The primary objective of Part 2 is to evaluate antitumor activity of eFT508 at the recommended dose in combination with avelumab or eFT508 monotherapy. Parts 1 and 2 will also evaluate pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics.
The purpose of the present study is to examine whether enrichment of a fat graft with autologous ex vivo expanded ASC injected into the breast tissue or face, both for cosmetic use, will significantly improve the results of conventional lipofilling and synthetic facial fillers, thereby being able to offer a safer, more natural and long-lasting alternative to current artificial solutions for cosmetic patients.
In Uganda and many countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, health providers have minimal training and intermittent opportunity to maintain skills in managing delivery complications and acute newborn and pediatric conditions. Interventions like effective resuscitation assistance at the time of birth are lifesaving. Every 30 second delay in establishing effective resuscitation at birth increases the risk of death by 16%. The purpose of this study is to test whether medical simulation can improve acute care skills and confidence related to maternal and pediatric care emergencies.
This is a multicenter Phase 2, multiple dose, dose escalation study to evaluate the safety, pharmacokinetics (PK), pharmacodynamics (PD), and efficacy of SPR001 in adult patients with classic congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH).
The primary objective is to compare overall survival (OS) for patients with recurrent or metastatic cervical cancer who have histology of squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) and who have any eligible histology treated with either cemiplimab or investigator's choice (IC) chemotherapy. The secondary objectives performed among SCC patients and among all eligible histologies (SCC and adenocarcinoma/adenosquamous carcinoma (AC) are: - To compare progression-free survival (PFS) of cemiplimab versus IC chemotherapy - To compare objective response rate (ORR) (partial response [PR] + complete response [CR]) of cemiplimab versus IC chemotherapy per Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors (RECIST) 1.1 - To compare the duration of response (DOR) of cemiplimab versus IC chemotherapy - To compare the safety profiles of cemiplimab versus IC chemotherapy by describing adverse events (AE) - To compare quality of life (QOL) for patients treated with cemiplimab versus IC chemotherapy using the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire-Core 30 (EORTC QLQ-C30)
Primary objective: - To evaluate the sensitivity of the Merz Lip Fullness Assessment Scale (MLFAS). Secondary objectives: - To evaluate the clinical aesthetic improvement outcome in lips appearance four weeks after Etermis 4® injection. - To evaluate safety/tolerability of Etermis 4® treatment in lips.
IN THIS PHASE 2A, RANDOMIZED, DOUBLE BLIND, PLACEBO CONTROLLED, 3 ARM, PARALLEL- GROUP STUDY, SAFETY, TOLERABILITY, AND PHARMACODYNAMICS OF PF-06835919 ADMINISTERED ONCE DAILY FOR 6 WEEKS WILL BE ASSESSED IN ADULTS WITH NONALCOHOLIC FATTY LIVER DISEASE
The creation of pneumoperitoneum during laparoscopic surgery can have significant effects on the respiratory system including decreased respiratory system compliance, decreased vital capacity and functional residual capacity and atelectasis formation. Intraoperative mechanical ventilation, especially setting of positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP) has an important role in respiratory management during laparoscopic surgery. The aim of this study is to determine whether setting of PEEP guided by measurement of pleural pressure would improve oxygenation and respiratory system compliance during laparoscopic surgery.
Approximately 36 DLT-evaluable subjects will be enrolled in this study. The locations of the study will be in the United States, Australia, Europe and Switzerland. The goal of this study is to evaluate the safety of intrahepatic injection (directly into the liver) of talimogene laherparepvec in combination with intravenously administered atezolizumab in subjects with triple negative breast cancer and colorectal cancer with liver metastases.
