Chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CP/CPPS) is one of the most common diseases in urology, but its pathogenesis remains unclear and the effective therapy lacks. As a kind of chronic pain which the patients suffered for more than 3 months, CP/CPPS could be alleviated by acupuncture. Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and higher magnetic field strengths could enable scientists to investigate the brain accurately and non-invasively during every stage of chronic pain.To avoid placebo effect, sham acupuncture would be also enrolled.Herein, by the utilization of fMRI in resting-state, we investigated the influence on patients' brain alterations after the patients accepted the treatment of acupuncture.

The is a phase 2 multi-cohort, non-randomized, open-label, multi-center study assessing the clinical benefit of SAR444245 combined with other anticancer therapies for the treatment of participants aged 18 years and older with HNSCC. This study is structured as a master protocol for the investigation of SAR444245 with other anticancer therapies. Substudy 1-Cohort A1 aims to establish proof-of-concept that SAR444245 combined with the anti-PD1 antibody pembrolizumab, will result in a significant increase in the observed number of objective responses in trial participants with HNSCC who are treatment-naïve for recurrent and/or metastatic (R/M) disease. Substudy 4-Cohort B1 aims to establish proof-of-concept that SAR444245 combined with the anti-PD1 antibody pembrolizumab, will result in a significant increase in the observed number of objective responses in trial participants with HNSCC who have received treatment with PD1/PD-L1 and platinum-based regimen. Substudy 5-Cohort B2 aims to establish proof-of-concept that SAR444245 combined with cetuximab will result in a significant increase in the observed number of objective responses in trial participants with HNSCC previously treated with platinum-based regimen & cetuximab-naive after failure of no more than 2 regimens for recurrent and/or metastatic (R/M) disease.
This is a multicenter Phase 3 clinical study, which aims to evaluate the effectiveness of an investigational drug called vimseltinib for the treatment of tenosynovial giant cell tumor (TGCT) in cases where surgical removal of the tumor is not an option. The study consists of two parts. In Part 1, eligible study participants will be assigned to receive either vimseltinib or matching placebo for 24 weeks. A number of assessments will be carried out during the course of the study, including physical examinations, blood tests, imaging studies, electrocardiograms, and questionnaires. MRI scans will be used to evaluate the response of the tumors to the treatment. Participants assigned to placebo in Part 1 will have the option to receive vimseltinib for Part 2. Part 2 is a long-term treatment phase in which all participants receive open-label vimseltinib.
The purpose of the study is to assess if the addition of darolutamide to ADT compared with ADT alone would result in superior clinical efficacy in participants with metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer (mHSPC) by progression-free survival. The researchers want to learn how long it takes for the cancer to get worse (also known as "progression-free survival") by either increasing symptoms, new metastases, PSA rise or death. All participants will be on treatment and take darolutamide with ADT until their cancer spreads, they have a medical problem, or they leave the study. The results will then be compared with patients' results from another study who received ADT alone (CHAARTED). This study will also assess safety by gathering adverse event information throughout the duration of the study. An adverse event is any medical problem, related or not to study treatment that a participant has during a study. The study drug, darolutamide, is already available for doctors to prescribe to patients with prostate cancer that has not yet spread to other parts of the body. It works by blocking a protein called a receptor from attaching to a hormone called androgen that is found in men. This protein can also be found in prostate cancer cells. ADT is a treatment that doctors are currently able to prescribe to patients with mHSPC. ADT is used to lower the amount of the androgen hormone.
