Filter by:This is a retrospective clinical study with prospectively designed blinded evaluation of CT images in adult and pediatric patients who underwent CT examinations of the abdomen and pelvis and were orally administered a solution of Isovue-300 to opacify the GI tract to distinguish it from adjacent abdominal and pelvic structures. The study will collect already existing data, such as demographic data, adverse events and CT images, for all chronologically enrolled patients who meet the inclusion/exclusion criteria prospectively defined in this protocol
The choice of the best surgical technique for urethral stricture repair depends on the stricture length. Estimating the length of urethral strictures is therefore of utmost importance. Different clinical studies have proven that SUG has a higher sensitivity to evaluate the length of urethral strictures compared to RUG or VCUG. The goal of this study is to assess the feasibility of using SUG as single pre-operative assessment tool in patients with suspicion of anterior urethral strictures. In this way, use of RUG and/or VCUG could be omitted in the pre-operative work-up of patients with anterior urethral strictures, thereby avoiding significant radiation load of patients.
PRECISION-NEC is a single-center, open-label, pilot feasibility study of molecularly defined subtypes of metastatic high-grade neuroendocrine carcinoma (HG-NEC). The hypothesis is that HG-NEC (excluding small cell carcinoma) can be segregated based on mutational analysis and that next generation sequencing (NGS)-based assignment of therapy is feasible and will potentially improve the outcomes.
This study will consider the safety and effectiveness of a study drug, CAN04, in combination with pembrolizumab, in the treatment of incurable or metastatic non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC), head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, urothelial cancer, or malignant melanoma. The study aims to establish a recommended dose of CAN04 in combination with the standard dose of pembrolizumab (Part 1), and in combination with pembrolizumab standard dose, and Standard of Care carboplatin and pemetrexed (Part 2 - subjects with stage IV, non-squamous metastatic NSCLC). CAN04, pembrolizumab. carboplatin and pemetrexed will be administered intravenously.
This clinical trial is studying the use of different levels of oxygen exposure during and after cardiopulmonary bypass in eligible infants to learn about its safety during heart surgery. In addition to having the various doses of oxygen, participants will also have blood samples, ultrasounds of the head, and brain wave patterns monitored. The hypotheses of this trial are: - that there will be no difference with regards to adverse events between the infants in the normoxia group compared to the infants in the standard of care group - there will be a significant difference in the measured partial pressure of oxygen (PaO2) values between the two treatment groups. - the use of normoxia during cardiopulmonary bypass and in the immediate post-operative period will result in clinically significant decrease in oxidative stress as measured by thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS) after cardiac surgery
As long as the people stay at home because of the Covid 19 outbreak, the investigators assume that the sleep quality of OUAS patients, like everyone else, and the sleep quality of COVID-19 outbreak are reduced due to anxiety and anxiety in people. In addition, we assume that sleep quality and physical activity level are related to health literacy level and fear of movement (kinesiophobia). In this study; the investigators aimed to determine how patients are affected by this process by evaluating sleep quality, physical activity, fear of movement and health literacy in OSAS patients during our stay in the COVID-19 outbreak.
Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is an immune-mediated disease associated with inflammation of multiple organ systems. This study will evaluate how well elsubrutinib and upadacitinib given alone or as the ABBV-599 combination (elsubrutinib/upadacitinib) works within the body, in participants who completed study M19-130. This study will assess the change in disease symptoms. ABBV-599 is an investigational drug being developed for the treatment of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE). This study is "double-blinded", which means that neither the trial participants nor the study doctors will know who will be given which study drug. Study doctors put the participants into 1 of 4 groups called treatment arms. Each group receives a different treatment. Adult participants with a diagnosis of SLE will be enrolled. Around 260 participants will be enrolled in the study in approximately 100 sites worldwide. Participants will receive the following for up to 56 weeks: Participants will receive oral elsubrutinib capsules and/or oral upadacitinib tablets once daily for up to 56 weeks. Participants who were receiving elsubrutinib and/or upadacitnib in M19-130 will continue to receive the same treatment in this study. Participants who were receiving placebo in M19-130 will be re-randomized to one of the 2 combination treatment arms in this study. Arm 1: Elsubrutinib Dose A and Upadacitinib Dose A Arm 2: Elsubrutinib Dose A and Upadacitinib Dose B There may be higher burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend monthly visits during the course of the study at a hospital or clinic. The effect of the treatment will be checked by medical assessments, blood tests, checking for side effects and completing questionnaires.
This is a research study to see how safe and effective decidual stromal cells are in treating patients with respiratory failure (breathing problem where not enough oxygen is passed from the lungs into the blood) caused by COVID-19.
The purpose of this study is to determine if the implementation of a Family Medicine residency curriculum that is based upon the principles of Clinic First, as originally described by the Center for Excellence in Primary Care at the University of California, San Francisco, results in a decrease in the extent of burnout among Family Medicine resident physicians at David Grant Medical Center on Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, California. This is a descriptive study designed to assess the extent of burnout among Family Medicine resident physicians pre- and post-implementation of a Clinic First-inspired Family Medicine residency curriculum. The study will utilize the Maslach Burnout Inventory Human Services Survey for Medical Personnel (MBI-HSS (MP)), which is a validated instrument that was designed to assess (1) emotional exhaustion, (2) depersonalization, and (3) personal accomplishment among medical personnel.
Our objective is to assess the impact of administering the PACV to parents of newborns. We also sought to assess the prevalence of vaccine hesitancy among parents of newborns in Houston, TX and to characterize the demographics of vaccine-hesitant parents.
