Filter by:A total of 400 participants will be recruited: 200 patients with suspected OSAS will be recruited from the sleep clinic (OSAS group), 100 patients diagnosed with dizziness will be recruited from the ENT clinic (Dizziness group). In addition, 100 patients with no dizziness and no evidence for OSAS will be recruited from both the sleep clinic and the ENT clinic (controls). Informed consents will be completed by all participants. ). In order to assess the effect of treatment of OSAS on dizziness -patients with the diagnosis of OSAS will complete validated questionnaires regarding sleep, dizziness and eustachian tube function 3 months following initiation of treatment with CPAP
The posterolateral corner (PLC) is known as the "dark side of the knee" due to its complex and variable anatomy. Its stability is provided by capsular and non-capsular structures that function as static and dynamic stabilizers. The structures of the PLC are primarily responsible for resisting varus angulation and external tibial rotation. They also act as secondary stabilizers, in conjunction with the cruciate ligaments, to prevent anterior and posterior translation during the early phase of flexion (0°-30°) PLC injures are relatively uncommon, occurring in approximately 16% of all knee injuries. They are rarely seen in isolation, as the majority is associated with concomitant cruciate ligament tears, as well as meniscal tears and injuries to the medial ligamentous structure.
This study will evaluate the effectiveness and safety of intradermal injection of Nanofat on wound healing and scar formation.
The purpose of the study is to examine the effects of modified time-restricted feeding and conventional dietary approaches in motivated obese fatty liver patients on biochemical markers, imaging studies, and anthropometric measurements.
cross sectional study to asses sexual maturation in β-Thalassemia Major patients receiving Iron Chelation Therapy in assuit University Hospital and maintenance of 2ry sexual characters and reproduction
Evaluate the diagnostic and therapeutic role of fiberoptic bronchoscopy in management of patients with lower respiratory tract infection in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit of Assiut University Hospital
The aim of this study is to compare the postoperative analgesic efficacy of intraperitoneal hydrocortisone to pulmonary recruitment maneuver in Laparoscopic gynaecological surgery.
The histologic hallmarks of lung inflammation and in the extreme, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), include intense accumulation of inflammatory cells in the airspaces and interstitium, injury to alveolar epithelial and endothelial cells, loss of epithelial-capillary integrity and accumulation of edema fluid in the interstitium and airspaces. Accordingly, for alveolar repair to occur inflammation must be halted, debris and inflammatory cells removed, injured tissue cells replaced, and capillary barrier function re-established. Macrophages are key players in all of these. Here the investigators hypothesize that resident alveolar macrophages and recruited macrophages serve completely different functions, acting independently (i.e. division of labor) yet cooperatively (synergism).
There is reason to believe that hyperbaric oxygen administered immediately prior to radiotherapy will prove beneficial for this cancer type and stage. The basis for this hypothesis is a review of several decades of published work, the conclusion of a recent (2018) Cochrane Review, and results of a Phase I trial.
We developed an artificial intelligent computer system with a deep neural network to analyze real-time video signals from the endoscopy station. This randomised controlled trial compared adenoma detection rate between computer-assisted colonoscopy and standard colonoscopy.
