The Effects of Multi-modality Physiotherapy in Delaying or Preventing COVID-19 Patient From Admitting to ICU

Start date: November 1, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory muscle training with COVID-19 patient, who has underlying health conditions, in order to delay or prevent them from admitting to ICU.

NCT ID: NCT04615637 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Patient With Pharmaco-resistant Epilepsy

Helium 4 Optically Pumped Magnetometers : a New Generation of Sensors for High Speed Functional Brain Imaging

NEW MEG
Start date: March 1, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Our goal is to perform a first evaluation of the capabilities of a new generation of non-invasive magnetoencephalography sensors (OPM He4) to record brain magnetic activities. The investigator will record 1) normal subjects stimulated with visual, auditory, somesthesic and motor stimuli and 2) epileptic patient. The investigator will compare the signal to noise ratio of the normal or pathological activities between classical MEG sensors and our OPM He4 prototype.

NCT ID: NCT04613960 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Subarachnoid Hemorrhage, Aneurysmal

Magnesium Treating Subarachnoid Hemorrhage Vasospasm

MATSH-SHapE
Start date: December 2022
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

A randomized clinical trial investigating magnesium sulphate ability to reduce risk of cerebral vasospasm after acute subarachnoid hemorrhage hence improving outcome particularly in haptoglobin 2-2 patients who are highly susceptible for severe complications after subarachnoid hemorrhage.

NCT ID: NCT04613479 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Hepatobilliary Manifestations in Inflammatory Bowel Disease Patients

Frequency of Hepatobilliary Manifestations in Patients With Inflammatory Bowel Disease

Start date: December 1, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Hepatobilliary manifestations as extraintestinal manifestations of IBD are sometimes underdiagnosed which can impair patient prognosis

NCT ID: NCT04613466 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for The Prevelance and Complications of Pulmonary Manifestations in Patients With Inflammatory Bowel Disease

The Prevelance of Pulmonary Manifestation in Patients With Inflammatory Bowel Disease

Start date: December 1, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Bronchopulmonary manifestations signs and symptoms are variable extraintestinal manifestations of IBD.

NCT ID: NCT04612361 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Effect of Insomnia and Sleep Deprivation in 3rdtrimester

Effect of Clinical Insomnia and Sleep Deprivation on Maternal-fetal Outcome Among Egyptian Females in 3rd Trimester

Start date: October 30, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This prospective observational study aims at investigating whether insomnia or sleep deprivation during the 3rd trimester of pregnancy can be implicated in the occurrence of adverse maternal or fetal outcome. Data will be collected from all participants with special emphasis on: history of impaired sleep due to insomnia or sleep deprivation due to working on night shifts, history of insomnia during first 20 weeks of pregnancy.Number of night sleep hours and total number of sleep hours during the day will be recorded for each participant. The Insomnia severity index(ISI) a brief self report questionnaire used for assessing the degree of current insomnia will be administered to all participants at the time of their routine antenatal care visits to detect insomnia and its severity if present .The possible relationship between clinical insomnia or sleep deprivation and the occurrence of preterm birth or IUGR will be explored and the association with increased Cesarean delivery rate or painful and/ or prolonged labour.

NCT ID: NCT04611711 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Patients With Digestive System Tumors Resistant to PD-1 Inhibitors

Phase I/II Clinical Study of Decitabine Combined With TQB2450 Injection or Decitabine + Anlotinib Combined With TQB2450 Injection in the Treatment of PD-1 Monoclonal Antibody-resistant Digestive System Tumors

Start date: November 1, 2020
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This clinical study focused on patients with digestive system tumors resistant to PD-1 inhibitors, and explored the reversal resistance of epigenetic drugs (decitabine) and TKI drugs (anlotinib) in this part of patients.

NCT ID: NCT04609488 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for To Assess Surfactant Levels in Lung Fluid

Surfactant Levels in the Lungs of COVID-19 Patients

Start date: November 1, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

NAME of STUDY: Surfactant levels in the lungs of COVID-19 patients BACKGROUND - Infection with SARS-CoV-2 may induce respiratory failure. - COVID-19 associated respiratory failure may require ventilatory support. - SARS-CoV-2 uses alveolar type II cells for virus replication. - Alveolar type II cells are responsible for surfactant production and lack of surfactant causes respiratory failure in preterm neonates. - Lack of surfactant may play role for respiratory failure in COVID-19 patients DESIGN Exploratory prospective study design without therapeutic intervention of any kind. Lung fluid will be donated as part of standard care procedures. HYPOTHESIS Surfactant is measurable in tracheal secretions by mid-infrared FTIR spectroscopy determined surfactant spectra. Surfactant is reduced in COVID-19 patients requiring ventilator support as compared to non- COVID-19 patients. Dysfunctional surfactant in COVID-19 patients regain its function when respiratory function improves. POPULATION Main population is patients with COVID-19 pneumonia that requires ventilatory support. OUTCOME MEASURES Primary outcome is the level of surfactant in lung fluid as obtained by tracheal suction. SAMPLE SIZE In total 30 patients will be included: twenty COVID-19 patients and 10 non-COVID-19 patients.
