Filter by:This phase II trial studies how well niraparib and dostarlimab work in treating patients with germline or somatic BRCA1/2 and PALB2 mutated pancreatic cancer that has spread to other places in the body (metastatic). Niraparib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as dostarlimab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Giving niraparib and dostarlimab may kill more tumor cells.
This phase I trial identifies the best dose, possible benefits and/or side effects of BAY 1895344 in combination with chemotherapy in treating patients with solid tumors or urothelial cancer that has spread to other places in the body (advanced). BAY 1895344 may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Cisplatin and gemcitabine are chemotherapy drugs that stop the growth of tumor cells by killing the cells. Combining BAY 1895344 with chemotherapy treatment (cisplatin, or cisplatin and gemcitabine) may be effective for the treatment of advanced solid tumors, including urothelial cancer.
Congenitally missing tooth is one of the most common anomalies in human dentition. The treatment options of lateral incisor agenesis are closing the space with orthodontic treatment, implant treatment, conventional fixed dental prosthesis (FDPs) and resin-bonded fixed dentures (RBFDs). RBFDs are used frequently for single tooth absence in the anterior region due to their minimal invasive properties, high clinical success and patient satisfaction. With the development of new and stronger materials, RBFDs with metal framework have been replaced by glass ceramic, lithium disilicate, fiber-reinforced composite (FRC) and zirconia. The aim of this study is to evaluate the clinical performance of CAD/CAM single-retainer monolithic zirconia ceramic RBFDs which cemented with two different resin cements.
To evaluate the clinical efficacy (median event-free survival) of APL-1202 in combination with Epirubicin hydrochloride versus Epirubicin hydrochloride alone in intermediate and high-risk chemo-refractory non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) patients
Conventional biopsy and surgical tumor resection are invasive procedures that capture only one instance of the progression of the tumor. However, the genome of tumor is not static, but it is constantly altered during treatment. Liquid biopsy is a non-invasive approach based on the extraction of information through peripheral blood analysis. It makes it possible to characterize the development of a solid tumor in real time, through detailed molecular analysis of circulating genetic material in peripheral blood.
The goal of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of pembrolizumab combined with carboplatin and paclitaxel as first-line treatment in participants with recurrent/metastatic head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (R/M HNSCC). No statistical hypothesis will be tested in this study.
This is a single-arm Phase Ib/II multicenter open-label study, with translational sub-study, of atezolizumab plus autologous dendritic cell vaccine as maintenance treatment in extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC). It is expected that three Spanish sites will include patients in this study. Patients will receive standard treatment with carboplatin and etoposide, plus atezolizumab for four 21-day cycles (induction phase), followed by a maintenance phase during which they will receive the dendritic cell vaccine (6 doses maximum) in combination with atezolizumab until they had unacceptable toxic effects, disease progression according to Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors (RECIST), version 1.1, or no additional clinical benefit. The two primary endpoints are the investigator-assessed toxicity and the 6 months PFS, both in the intention-to-treat population. Secondary Outcome Measures include: Duration of clinical benefit (DCB), Overall survival (OS) and Overall response rate (ORR) The translational substudy will include: Analysis of tumor tissue samples will consist of PD-L1 Immunohistochemistry testing, RNA expression, Work Environmental Scale (WES) analysis, and flow cytometry in pretreatment fresh tumor tissue. The analysis will consist of T cell immunophenotyping, DC immunophenotyping, Tumoral RNA analysis by nanostring and tumoral cell-free DNA analysis by WES and cytokine analysis
Endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) with tissue acquisition (TA) is nowadays a well-established technique for the sampling of solid lesions pancreatic and non-pancreatic lesions. Actually the standard methods to obtain sampling in gastrointestinal (GI) and non-GI solid masses is the fine needle aspiration (FNA) performed by endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS). Its sensitivity, specificity and diagnostic accuracy for malignant cytology are actually reported of 85-95%, 95%-98% and 78-95% respectively. These data could be affected by the presence of cytopathologist in endoscopy room during the tissue sampling. The rapid on-site evaluation (ROSE) has been advocated to significantly increase EUS-FNA accuracy. To overcome this problem fine needle biopsy (FNB) for TA to obtain histological specimens was proposed. These needles allow as the acquisition of an histological specimen than the cytological one with FNA needles. Recently, the need to obtain a histological, instead of a cytological, specimen during EUS has become more urgent and necessary due to innovative oncological treatment options. An acquired histological specimen could avoid the need of a cytopathologist in the endoscopic room, diminishing costs, procedures time, number of passes and reducing the additional costs of a possible repeated EUS-FNA, in case of an inconclusive diagnosis. With the advent of FNB, the macroscopic on-site evaluation (MOSE) of the specimen by the endosonographer was proposed, resulting in a comparable alternative to ROSE.
To find the recommended dose of NBTXR3 that can be given in combination with radiation therapy to patients with pancreatic cancer. To learn if the dose NBTXR3 found in Part 1 can help to control the disease.
Performing surgery in utero on fetuses with certain birth defects has led to significant improvements in outcomes after birth; however, many of these infants are born preterm which can decrease the effectiveness of these procedures. The investigators aim to understand the effects of surgery on the maternal and fetal immune system and whether immune activation may be causing some of these infants to be born prematurely.
