NCT ID: NCT05280366 Recruiting - Open Angle Glaucoma Clinical Trials

STREAMLINE®SURGICAL SYSTEM Compared to iStent Inject W® in Patients With Open-Angle Glaucoma

VENICE
Start date: February 9, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

A study of the Streamline Surgical System versus competitor

NCT ID: NCT05273385 Recruiting - Glaucoma Clinical Trials

Efficacy of the Nanodropper Device on Intraocular Pressure in Patients With Glaucoma

Start date: October 10, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Glaucoma is the leading cause of irreversible blindness worldwide. Previous studies demonstrate that smaller eye drops used in the treatment of glaucoma are just as efficacious as their larger counterparts. The proposed study hopes to demonstrate the non-inferiority of using Nanodropper to lower intraoccular pressure (IOP) in glaucoma patients compared to standard of care eye drops.

NCT ID: NCT05269680 Recruiting - Open Angle Glaucoma Clinical Trials

STAR-LIFE: a Post-market Registry on MINIject

STAR-LIFE
Start date: July 20, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

As part of the post-market clinical follow-up (PMCF), this registry is developed to ensure real-world data collection on MINIject device.

NCT ID: NCT05241938 Recruiting - Ocular Hypertension Clinical Trials

PSLT Compared to Prostaglandin Analogue Eye Drops

Start date: September 1, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study aims to compare the efficacy of PSLT and the topical use of prostaglandin-like hypotensive eye drops in the treatment of ocular hypertensive or glaucomatous patients in decreasing intraocular pressure and measuring changes in functional, structural and biomechanical parameters evaluated by computerized perimetry and optical coherence tomography (OCT) related to pressure change resulting from treatments

NCT ID: NCT05160805 Active, not recruiting - Open Angle Glaucoma Clinical Trials

A Phase 1b Study of ONL1204 Ophthalmic Solution in Patients With Progressing Open Angle Glaucoma

Start date: May 2, 2022
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the safety and tolerability of ONL1204 Ophthalmic Solution in patients with progressing open angle glaucoma. ONL1204 Ophthalmic Solution is a first-in-class inhibitor of fragment apoptosis stimulator (Fas) receptor-mediated cell death that has demonstrated protection of multiple retinal cell types in numerous preclinical models of retinal disease. Apoptosis of retinal ganglion cells is associated with progressive glaucoma. Nonclinical data on ONL1204 Ophthalmic Solution suggest that ONL1204 Ophthalmic Solution may inhibit the cell death pathways in these cells.

NCT ID: NCT05104294 Completed - Open Angle Glaucoma Clinical Trials

Correlation Between Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography and Photopic Negative Response in Patients With Glaucoma

Start date: February 2, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Open angle glaucoma (OAG) is considered a common cause of irreversible vision loss worldwide. It is an optic neuropathy associated with progressive loss and degeneration of the retinal ganglion cell layer (RGC) and its axons (retinal nerve fiber layer; RNFL), which lead to neuroretinal rim excavation and corresponding visual field defects.

NCT ID: NCT05089474 Completed - Open Angle Glaucoma Clinical Trials

A First in Human Clinical Trial to Evaluate the Safety and Effectiveness of the STREAMLINE SURGICAL SYSTEM in Patients With Open-Angle Glaucoma

Start date: March 8, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

A prospective, nonrandomized, open label study to evaluate the safety and IOP lowering effectiveness of the Streamline Surgical System, in patients with mild-to-moderate open angle glaucoma undergoing cataract surgery.

NCT ID: NCT05035394 Active, not recruiting - Cataract Clinical Trials

Swedish Microinvasive Glaucoma Surgery Study (SMIGS)

SMIGS
Start date: September 16, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study is to investigate the efficacy of Cataract Surgery as stand-alone compared to Cataract Surgery in combination with Kahook Dual Blade Glide goniotomy (KDB) or iStent Inject W Trabecular Microbypass Stent (Istent) in eyes with Open-angle glaucoma.

NCT ID: NCT04911387 Completed - Glaucoma Clinical Trials

iCare® Home vs Goldmann Applanation Tonometry

Start date: April 1, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Self-tonometry with iCare Home is regularly performed at Sankt Erik's Eye Hospital since a few years back. The purpose of this study was to show that the eye pressure measurements made with iCare® Home by patients / relatives do not vary more than those made with the standard method, Goldman applanation tonometry (GAT), by different healthcare professionals. This will hopefully confirm the usefulness of self-tonometry.

NCT ID: NCT04910100 Completed - Ocular Hypertension Clinical Trials

Nebivolol 0.5, 1.0, or Timolol 0.5 Suspension Compared to Timolol 0.5 Solution to Treat Glaucoma/Ocular Hypertension

Start date: April 15, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety (in the eye and throughout the body) and effectiveness of nebivolol (0.5 and 1 percent) and timolol (0.5 percent) eye drop suspensions. These eye drops will be compared to timolol 0.5 percent eye drop solution in participants with open angle glaucoma (the most common type of glaucoma) or high eye pressure (ocular hypertension).
