Filter by:This study was planned in a quasi-experimental design, focusing on the feasibility, evaluation, and implementation of patient handover between nurses, and the effect of interventions to increase their effectiveness on the patient's satisfaction with care, trust in the nurse, and the quality of nurses' patient handover. The main question it aims to answer is: Does the intervention implemented in nurses' patient handover increase patients' satisfaction with care, its effect on their trust in nurses, and the quality of nurses' patient handover?
The objective of this experimental study is to determine if the application of a nursing educational intervention reduces the anxiety of patients who are going to undergo treatment in the hyperbaric chamber. The researchers will compare the nursing educational intervention with the usual practice that is currently carried out in the unit for patients who are going to begin treatment in the hyperbaric chamber. Participants will: - Receive explanatory information through a camera triptych when the treatment is indicated. - Come half an hour before the first session to receive a nursing educational intervention, with audiovisual support, on the operation of the camera.
Intrathecal chemotherapy is often used to prevent the spread of cancer to the central nervous system in pediatric patients and is one of the most invasive procedures. It is believed that the way it is administered and the complications experienced after treatment negatively affect the comfort of the pediatric patient, leading them to refuse the treatment.
The goal of this pilot clinical trial is to evaluate the feasibility and limited effectiveness of a digital, arts-based educational intervention addressing nurse stigma towards perinatal substance use. The main questions it aims to answer are: - What is the the feasibility of delivering the training through an asynchronous, web-based platform? - What is the limited effectiveness of the program on nurse stigma towards perinatal substance use? Participants will access and complete the training, including completion of a perinatal substance use stigma scale at baseline, immediately post, and 1-2 months month later. Participants will also be invited to participate in an interview. Researchers will compare the intervention and control groups to see if the training reduces nurse stigma towards perinatal substance use.
Delirium is a complication characterized by fluctuations in orientation, memory, thinking, or behavior, with sudden onset of these changes. Studies have shown that pharmacological agents are the most significant risk factors for delirium in intensive care units. In recent years, the impact of non-pharmacological interventions in preventing delirium development has started to be discussed.
Background: Nurses who worked with patients with COVID-19 in hospitals have experienced several threatening and challenging situations, negatively affecting psychological health. M-health-based mindfulness-based interventions were found to improve psychological health in various populations. Aim: The purpose of this study is to assess the effectiveness of a m-Health-based mindfulness-based intervention on anxiety, depression, stress among Jordanian registered nurses taking care of COVID-19 patients. Methodology: The study was conducted using a pretest post-test randomized controlled design. One hundred and two nurses were recruited from a Jordanian Hospital and randomly distributed into experimental group (n=51) and control group (n= 51). The study data were collected using a self-report questionnaire working in the King Abdullah University hospital at baseline and at the end of intervention. For five weeks, the experimental group had five individual 30-minute MBI sessions. An audio-based MBI that was given to them via the WhatsApp served as the research intervention. A self-report questionnaire was used to collect the study data as follows: 1) demographic characteristics and 2) Mindful Attention Awareness, and 3) Scale the Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale (DASS-21). The study outcomes were measured at baseline and at the end of the intervention. Data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS), Version 26.
This study is planned to determine the impact of education provided with the flipped learning model on nursing students' thorax and heart knowledge and self-directed learning skills. This study adopted a pretest-posttest openlabel randomized controlled trial. The population of the study will consist of second-year students studying at a Nursing Department of a university in Turkey during the 2023-2024 academic year.According to the power analysis, it was determined that the study needs to be conducted with a total of 100 students, with 50 students in the experimental group and 50 students in the control group. The experimental group participants were trained using the flipped learning model. For the control group, the topic will be delivered using only traditional teaching methods. The data for the study will be collected using the "Introductory Characteristics Form," the "Thoracic and Cardiac Examination Information Evaluation Form," and the "Self-Regulated Learning Skills Scale (SRLSS)."The collected data will be analyzed using SPSS 15 software.
Study with cross-sectional and descriptive mixed methodology. With questionnaires with likert-type questions (0-10) being the 10 with the highest score, and open questions in relation to knowledge in wound care; include all Corporaciló Sanitària Parc Taulí (CCSPT) nurses who voluntarily want to participate in a pseudo-anonymized surv

The research was conducted to evaluate the effects of three different non-pharmacological methods (playing a music video, buzzy application, listening to a music video + buzzy application) on the pain and anxiety levels of children in the 4-12 age group during vascular access. H0.1. Playing music (music video) during the vascular access procedure has no effect on children's pain and anxiety levels. H0.2. Applying buzzy during the vascular access procedure has no effect on children's pain and anxiety levels. H0.3. Listening to a music video + applying buzzy during the vascular access procedure has no effect on children's pain and anxiety levels.
