Start date: October 31, 2022
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of switching from intravenous (IV) complement component 5 (C5) inhibitors to subcutaneous (SC) Zilucoplan in study participants with generalized myasthenia gravis (gMG)

NCT ID: NCT05455840 Active, not recruiting - Myasthenia Gravis Clinical Trials

A Prospective, Single-Center Investigation of the da Vinci SP® Surgical System in Anterior Mediastinal Disease

Start date: August 3, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Endpoints (Outcome measures): 1. Primary endpoint: Incidence of conversion rate during surgery - The primary performance endpoint will be assessed as the ability to successfully complete the planned mediastinal procedure with da Vinci SP System, with no conversion to open surgery, video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS), multi-port robotic surgery or approach requiring undocking of the da Vinci SP Surgical System in order to complete the planned procedure using the alternate approach. Use of additional assistant port(s) is not considered a conversion 2. Secondary endpoints: Incidence of treatment related adverse events - The safety endpoint will be assessed as the incidence of all intra-operative and post-operative adverse events that occur through the 30-day follow up period

NCT ID: NCT05150210 Active, not recruiting - Myasthenia Gravis Clinical Trials

SP Thoracic IDE Study

Start date: July 20, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

To confirm the safety and performance of the da Vinci SP Surgical System, Instruments and Accessories in pulmonary lobectomy, and in thymectomy procedures.

NCT ID: NCT04980495 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Generalized Myasthenia Gravis

An Open-label Study to Investigate the Clinical Efficacy of Different Dosing Regimens of Efgartigimod IV in Patients With Generalized Myasthenia Gravis

ADAPT NXT
Start date: December 16, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this open-label study is to investigate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of a continuous regimen of efgartigimod compared with a cyclic regimen in participants with Generalized Myasthenia Gravis (gMG). Study details include: The study duration will be up to 138 weeks (including screening and a safety follow-up of up to 9 weeks) - Part A (regimen comparison period) - 21 weeks - Part B (extension period) - up to 105 weeks The visit frequency, including virtual visits, will be weekly through Week 21 and every 5 weeks for the remainder of the study.

Evaluating the Long-Term Safety and Tolerability of Efgartigimod PH20 SC Administered Subcutaneously in Patients With Generalized Myasthenia Gravis

ADAPTSC+
Start date: April 26, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the long-term safety and tolerability of efgartigimod PH20 SC 1000 mg, and the clinical efficacy, PD, pharmacokinetics (PK), immunogenicity, impact on the quality of life (QoL) of the participants, treatment satisfaction, and administration method preference, and the feasibility of self- and caregiver-supported administration of the SC injection. Treatment duration: 3-week treatment periods, repeated as needed with at least 28 days in between treatment periods Health measurements: total levels of immunoglobulin G (IgG), Acetylcholine receptor binding autoantibodies (AChR-Ab) levels, Myasthenia Gravis Activities of Daly Living (MG-ADL).

Influence of Minimally Invasive Thymectomy on the Subsequent Clinical Course of Myasthenia Gravis

Start date: April 20, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The aim of this study is to investigate whether minimally invasive thymectomy achieves comparable efficacy and safety results compared to open thymectomy in patients with myasthenia gravis. The planned investigation is a multicenter observational study based on retrospective (present patient data) and prospective data (questionable outcome data). Primary hypothesis: Minimally invasive thymectomy is not inferior to open thymectomy in terms of efficacy and safety (non-inferiority study).

NCT ID: NCT03818204 Active, not recruiting - Stroke Clinical Trials

Clinical Trial to Improve the Magnetic Levator Prosthesis

Start date: February 7, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Blepharoptosis (incomplete opening of the eyelids) occurs because of a disruption in the normal agonist-antagonist neuro-muscular complex balance. An external device could restore eyelid movement. A newer class of permanent magnets made of alloys of neodymium (Nd), iron (Fe) and boron (B) might provide the technology needed to develop a feasible external magnetic device that could restore eyelid movement.
