Carfilzomib in Combination for the Treatment of RR MM

Carfilzomib is approved in Turkey for the treatment of adult relapsed multiple myeloma patients who have received at least one prior treatment. It is approved for use in combination with lenalidomide and dexamethasone (KRd) in and with dexamethasone alone (Kd). The purpose of this study is to describe contemporary, real-world patterns of patient characteristics, clinical disease presentation, prior therapeutic regimen chosen, and clinical outcomes in participants with relapsed/refractory (R/R) multiple myeloma (MM) who receive Carfilzomib combination treatment. Real-world evidence is crucial to understand how carfilzomib-based regimens are used in practice and in relation to local prescribing information. This is a prospective, non-interventional, observational study. The study population will include patients with relapsed/refractory MM who have received 1 to 3 prior lines of therapy with documented data in the medical record regarding diagnosis (month and year), the regimens used in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line as applicable, whether stem cell transplant was part of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line of therapy at participating clinical sites in Turkey.

Study of Daratumumab in Multiple Myeloma (MM) Patients in >VGPR/MRD-positive

Aim of this study is to evaluate Daratumumab effect on MRD-positive patients with Multiple Myeloma (MM) who achieved >VGPR after any therapy (ASCT, VMP, Rev-Dex). Daratumumab 16 mg/kg administered at weekly intervals for 8 weeks, then every 2 weeks for an additional 16 weeks, will be given to 50 MM patients who achieved a >VGPR defined by monoclonal component disappearance in serum or urine, immunofixation positive/negative and MRD-positivity (by NGF). Free light chain (FLC) and CT/PET will be evaluated at time 0. NGF will be done on marrow aspirate at time 0, at 2 months and every 6 months for 2 years. If patients will be still MRD positive after 6 months of therapy , treatment will be continued up to 2 years. If MRD negative by NGF, the patients can stop the treatment.

Physical Activity for Myeloma Autograft Longitudinal Study

Physical exercises program is known to improve quality of life, chronical fatigue and appears to be a behavioural recommendation against cancer as primary and tertiary prevention. Nutritional status is also important in cancer patients: a loss of 5% of weight increases the complication risks and decreases survival and the quality of life. Interactions between physical activity and haematological malignancies are less described compared to solid cancers. Methodology and protocols are also heterogeneous. Supervised exercises program improves the physical condition and the quality of life; however there are few randomised studies versus a controlled group. Post autograft evaluation for myeloma patients showed a physical deficit with increased fat mass, but in this particular population physical exercises need to be more explored. This project is a randomised study versus controlled group that evaluates supervised physical exercises program in a homogenous population: patients under-65-years-old with multiple myeloma and who will undergo autologous stem cell transplantation.
