Efficacy of a Novel App-based Migraine Treatment Platform - a Pilot Study

This study evaluates biofeedback delivered through a smartphone as a treatment for migraine in adolescents. Three out of four participants will receive treatment as smartphone delivered biofeedback training, and one out of four participants will receive treatment as a sham-biofeedback app.

A Study Investigating the Efficacy and Safety of Sepranolone in Women With Menstrual Migraine

The objective of this phase 2 Proof.of Concept study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Sepranolone (UC1010) in preventing menstrual migraine attacks in adult women with migraine occurring between Day -2 and Day 5 of the menstrual cycle. Patients will be taking Sepranolone or Placebo (blinded to patient and study doctor) during the two week preceding the menstruation for three menstrual cycles. Effect (change from baseline) will be assessed by comparison of symptoms recorded daily by the patients using an electronic diary using validated scales for assessment of menstual migraine symptoms. Sepranolone is identical to an endogenous steroid.

Nerivio™ is an FDA-authorized remote electrical neuromodulation (REN) device for the acute treatment of migraine with or without aura in patients 18 years old or above who do not have chronic migraine. The device delivers transcutaneous electrical stimulation to the upper arm to induce conditioned pain modulation (CPM) that activates a descending endogenous analgesic mechanism. Botulinum Toxin Type A Blockade of the Sphenopalatine Ganglion in Treatment-refractory Chronic Migraine

This is a clinical trial to assess the efficacy of botox treatment of the sphenopalatine ganglion as an add-on treatment in drug resistant migraine. An injection targeting the ganglion is made possible by an image-guided device developed specifically for this purpose (MultiGuide) Study participants will be randomized to either placebo or botox after a 4 week run-in period. First, one injection will be given towards both the right and the left ganglion. After that there will be a follow-up of 12 weeks for efficacy and safety evaluation. The main efficacy measure is change in number of moderate to severe headache days before and after injection.
