The objective of this study is to determine if fluorescence lymphangiography can be used alone to localize sentinel nodes in patients with melanoma or breast cancer. The hypothesis is that sentinel nodes can be identified using only indocyanine green (ICG) and fluorescence lymphangiography, without the need for technetium99 and a gamma probe.

The French E3N Prospective Cohort Study

The French E3N cohort was initiated in 1990 to investigate the risk factors associated with cancer and other major non-communicable diseases in women. The participants were insured through a national health system that primarily covered teachers, and were enrolled from 1990 after returning baseline self-administered questionnaires and providing informed consent. The cohort comprised nearly 100 000 women with baseline ages ranging from 40 to 65 years. Follow-up questionnaires were sent approximately every 2-3 years after the baseline and addressed general and lifestyle characteristics together with medical events (cancer, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, depression, fractures and asthma, among others). The follow-up questionnaire response rate remained stable at approximately 80%. A biological material bank was generated and included blood samples collected from 25 000 women and saliva samples from an additional 47 000 women. Ageing among the E3N cohort provided the opportunity to investigate factors related to agerelated diseases and conditions as well as disease survival.

REO13 Melanoma With of Without GM-CSF

Open-label, non-randomised, single centre study which will assess the presence of reovirus (Reolysin®), following intravenous administration with or without Granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) given to patients prior to surgery for metastatic melanoma. All patients will receive an initial low 'immunisation' dose of intravenous reovirus. Patients will be enrolled sequentially in to each of the two cohorts receiving either reovirus alone, or reovirus plus GM-CSF. For this study we anticipate 8-16 evaluable patients, up to 8 for each group. The endpoints of this study will compare the 2 treatment groups for reovirus tumour infiltration and replication. Compare the neutralising antibody development and cell-mediated immune response and identify any adverse events and laboratory toxicities.

Phase Ib/II open-label, multi-center study with a priming cycle of 4SC-202 to evaluate the safety, tolerability and preliminary efficacy of combination treatment with 4SC-202 and Pembrolizumab. A dose expansion cohort at the Recommended Phase Two Dose (RPTD) will be added. Adult patients with advanced (unresectable or metastatic) cutaneous melanoma primary refractory or non-responding to anti-PD-1 therapy as most current systemic anti-cancer therapy and for whom no standard therapy is available, will be enrolled. The last administration of anti-PD-1 therapy must have been performed within 6 months prior to screening.

Imiquimod and Pembrolizumab in Treating Patients With Stage IIIB-IV Melanoma

This pilot early phase I trial studies the side effects and how well imiquimod and pembrolizumab work in treating patients with stage IIIB-IV melanoma. Imiquimod may stimulate the immune system. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as pembrolizumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Giving imiquimod and pembrolizumab may work better at treating melanoma.
