NCT ID: NCT00759382 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Non Small Cell Lung Carcinoma

Prognostic Role of Primary Non Small Cell Lung Carcinoma Standardized F18-FDG Uptake Values (SUV and TLG) Measured With F18-fluorodeoxyglucose Positron Emission Tomography (F18-FDG-PET): a Non Interventional Study.

Start date: July 2008
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The primary aim of this non interventional study is to assess the independent prognostic role on overall survival of primary tumour 18F-FDG uptake value (SUVmax) measured on 18fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography (18F-FDG-PET) in patients with non-metastatic non-small cell lung cancers treated with curative intent, taking into account the other conventional prognostic factors (performance status, age, sex, disease stage).

NCT ID: NCT00758134 Terminated - Clinical trials for NON-SMALL CELL LUNG CANCER

Trastuzumab Therapy in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer Patients

Start date: July 2008
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a prospective study assessing efficacy of trastuzumab therapy in pretreated NSCLC patients. Patients with locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC, HER2 FISH positive and/or with HER2 gene mutation, pretreated with at least one previous chemotherapy line will be considered eligible for the trial. After evaluation of inclusion and exclusion criteria, and after signature of informed consensus form, all eligible patients will receive trastuzumab 6 mg/kg every 3 weeks (8 mg/kg loading dose) until disease progression, unacceptable toxicity or patient refusal.

NCT ID: NCT00755170 Completed - Clinical trials for Non Small Cell Lung Cancer

Metronomic Vinorelbine and Bevacizumab in Patients With Non Small Cell Lung Cancer

Start date: November 2008
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This trial will evaluate the efficacy and safety of metronomic vinorelbine and bevacizumab combination in patients with pretreated, advanced non small cell lung cancer

NCT ID: NCT00755157 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Small Cell Lung Cancer

Metronomic Docetaxel and Bevacizumab in Patients With Small Cell Lung Cancer

Start date: April 2008
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This trial will evaluate the efficacy and safety of metronomic docetaxel and bevacizumab combination in patients with pretreated, advanced small cell lung cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00754923 Terminated - Lung Cancer Clinical Trials

Sorafenib in Treating Non-Smokers or Former Light Smokers With Relapsed or Refractory Stage IIIB or Stage IV Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

Start date: October 2008
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Sorafenib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth and by blocking blood flow to the tumor. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well sorafenib works in treating non-smokers or former light smokers with relapsed or refractory stage IIIB or stage IV non-small cell lung cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00754910 Completed - Lung Cancer Clinical Trials

Photodynamic Therapy Using Porfimer Sodium in Treating Patients With Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer And Bronchial Disease

Start date: December 2008
Phase:
Study type: Observational

RATIONALE: Photodynamic therapy uses a drug that becomes active when it is exposed to a certain kind of light. When the drug is active, cancer cells are killed. This may be effective against non-small cell lung cancer. PURPOSE: This clinical trial is studying how well photodynamic therapy using porfimer sodium works in treating patients with non-small cell lung cancer and bronchial disease.

NCT ID: NCT00754858 Completed - Lung Cancer Clinical Trials

Belotecan and Cisplatin in Treating Patients With Previously Untreated, Extensive-Stage Small Cell Lung Cancer

Start date: October 2008
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cisplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Belotecan may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Giving belotecan together with cisplatin may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well belotecan works when given together with cisplatin in treating patients with previously untreated extensive stage small cell lung cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00753909 Completed - Clinical trials for Non Small Cell Lung Cancer

Paclitaxel, Carboplatin Plus Bevacizumab in Pretreated, Advanced or Metastatic Non Small Cell Lung Cancer

Start date: November 2008
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This trial will evaluate the efficacy and safety of paclitaxel, carboplatin and bevacizumab combination, administered biweekly, in patients with pretreated, advanced non small cell lung cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00753714 Completed - Clinical trials for Non Small Cell Lung Cancer

Zactima in Non Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) ELderly Patients In Combination With or Versus Gemcitabine

ZELIG
Start date: October 2008
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective of this study is to demonstrate an improvement in Progression-Free Survival (PFS) for the combination of vandetanib plus gemcitabine compared with gemcitabine plus placebo in chemonaïve (not including an adjuvant regimen) patients aged ≥ 70 years with advanced NSCLC.

NCT ID: NCT00753415 Completed - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Start date: August 2008
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This is a two-part study to test the safety, tolerability, and immune response for V934/V935 vaccine using a new prime-boost regimen in participants with selected solid tumors.
