NCT ID: NCT02944903 Completed - Clinical trials for Lung Cancer Screening

Audit of Lung Cancer Screening Practice in Chest Physicians: An Update

Start date: October 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The investigators will conduct nationally representative survey in chest physicians in Egypt in 2016-2017. Self-administered questionnaire will be used to assess the physicians' knowledge of lung cancer screening guidelines, beliefs about the effectiveness of screening tests, and ordering of screening chest radiography, low-dose spiral computed tomography, or sputum cytology in the past 12 months.

NCT ID: NCT02944396 Completed - Clinical trials for Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

Study of Veliparib in Combination With Nivolumab and Platinum Doublet Chemotherapy in Participants With Metastatic or Advanced Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC)

Start date: December 23, 2016
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This study seeks to establish the recommended Phase 2 dose (RPTD) of veliparib in combination with nivolumab and platinum doublet chemotherapy (carboplatin/paclitaxel or carboplatin/pemetrexed) (Phase 1 portion) and to assess whether the addition of nivolumab to veliparib in combination with platinum doublet chemotherapy results will improve progression free survival (PFS) compared to veliparib with platinum doublet chemotherapy alone in participants with metastatic or advanced Non-small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) (Phase 2 portion). A strategy decision was made not to proceed to Phase 2 portion of this study due to change in standard of care.

NCT ID: NCT02941601 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Metastatic Squamous Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

A Study of Gemcitabine-Carboplatin Plus Necitumumab (LY3012211) in Chemotherapy-Naïve Participants With Locally Advanced or Metastatic Squamous Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC)

Start date: November 2016
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The main purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of gemcitabine-carboplatin plus necitumumab in chemotherapy-naïve participants with locally advanced or metastatic squamous non-small cell lung cancer.

NCT ID: NCT02941003 Recruiting - Lung Cancer Clinical Trials

Precision Diagnosis for Intraoperative Frozen Section of Early Stage Lung Cancer

Start date: February 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is: 1. To establish a set of diagnostic criteria of intraoperative frozen section of early stage lung adenocarcinoma, including clinicopathologic and molecular characteristics. 2. To assess its clinical usefulness in guiding surgical procedure for early stage lung adenocarcinoma.

NCT ID: NCT02938546 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Non-small-cell Lung Cancer

18F-FDG Metabolism Imaging Monitoring Non-small Cell Lung Cancer Curative Effect of Chemotherapy Multicenter Clinical Study

Start date: November 2016
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The subject is going to use 18F-FDG PET/CT to assess different genetic NSCLC metabolism after cisplatin chemotherapy and targeted therapy, define the assessment criteria for the role of 18F-FDG PET/CT in NSCLC treatment respone and at last build multi-centre clinical trial platform of molecular classification and molecular imaging for cancer chemotherapy assessment.

NCT ID: NCT02937818 Completed - Clinical trials for Platinum Refractory Extensive-Stage Small Cell Lung Carcinoma

A Phase II, Study to Determine the Preliminary Efficacy of Novel Combinations of Treatment in Patients With Platinum Refractory Extensive-Stage Small-Cell Lung Cancer

Start date: November 28, 2016
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Study design This is a Phase II, open-label, multi-drug, multi-center, multi-arm, signal-searching study in patients with extensive-stage small-cell lung cancer (SCLC) who have refractory or resistant disease from prior platinum-based chemotherapy.

NCT ID: NCT02937402 Terminated - Clinical trials for Small Cell Lung Carcinoma

Bronchoscopy With Bronchoalveolar Lavage in Identifying Biomarkers of Response to Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors in Patients With Non-small Cell or Small Cell Lung Cancer

Start date: April 5, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This pilot clinical trial studies how well bronchoscopy with bronchoalveolar lavage works in identifying biomarkers of response to immune checkpoint inhibitors in patients with non-small cell or small cell lung cancer. Bronchoscopy uses a thin, tube-like instrument inserted through the nose or mouth to view the inside of the trachea, air passages, and lungs. Bronchoalveolar lavage washes out the bronchi and alveoli by flushing with a fluid. Bronchoscopy with bronchoalveolar lavage may make it easier to help determine biomarkers that are more present in some cancers than others that will help determine which individuals have a greater or lesser chance of benefiting from immunotherapy.

NCT ID: NCT02936804 Not yet recruiting - Lung Cancer Clinical Trials

Precision Diagnosis and Therapy for Early Stage Lung Cancer

Start date: December 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The present study is a single arm clinical trial aiming to improve the key technology in the diagnosis and treatment of early stage lung cancer. 60,000 high-risk subjects (age 45-70) are planned to recruit and assign to the Low Dose Computed Tomography (LDCT) screening arm (Baseline + 2 rounds of biennial repeated LDCT screening). Management of positive screening test will be carried out by a pre-specified protocol.
