Impact of Circadian Rhythm on the Spread of Circulating Tumor Cells in Lung Cancer Patients

SLEEP_CTC
Start date: January 29, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This is a prospective pilot study designed to demonstrate the impact of circadian rhythm on the spread of Circulating Tumor Cells (CTCs) in patients with Non- Small Cell Lung Cancer - NSCLC. 27 patients will be included in the study and will be followed for 12 months. For each included patient, blood samples will be collected before the anticancer treatment initiation.

NCT ID: NCT05987644 Recruiting - Lung Cancer Clinical Trials

Delayed or Upfront Brain RAdiotherapy in Treatment naïve Lung Cancer Patients With Asymptomatic or Minimally Symptomatic Brain Metastases and ALK rEarrangements

DURABLE
Start date: March 7, 2024
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study will consist of a Phase 1b and Phase 2 portion. The Phase 1b portion will enroll first followed by the Phase 2 portion. Each cycle of treatment = 28 days. Subjects will receive alectinib twice daily. Those in the Phase 1b portion will receive alectinib alone. Those in Phase 2 Arm A will receive alectinib alone. Those in Phase 2, Arm B will receive SRS + alectinib. A maximum of 25 cycles (2 years) of alectinib may be administered on study.

Diagnostic Performance of Small RNA Blood Test in Patients Undergoing Follow-up Imaging After Positive Low Dose CT Screening for Cancer of the Lung

Start date: October 18, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

2,000 individuals, aged 50-80 who have received a lung-RADS category 3 or 4 result on a LDCT screening study and who are scheduled for follow-up diagnostic imaging study, biopsy, clinical consultation or surgical appointment at one of the participating hospitals.

Reducing Respiratory Symptoms of Pulmonary Irradiation in Interstitial Lung Disease

RESPIRE-ILD
Start date: May 1, 2024
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

In this double-blind phase II randomized controlled trial, patients with lung cancer or ≤2 oligometastatic pulmonary lesions and a concomitant diagnosis of ILD who are planned for radical Radiation Therapy (RT) will be randomized using a 2 x 2 factorial design to oral N-acetylcysteine (NAC) versus placebo, and also to short course corticosteroids versus placebo.

The Effect of Pranayama Breathing Exercise on Quality of Life in Lung Cancer Patients

Start date: January 6, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This research is a randomized controlled experimental study to determine the effect of pranayama breathing exercise applied to patients with lung cancer on quality of life.

COPD Care Pathway Among Patients With Cancer

Start date: March 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The research objective for this pilot study is to design the first care pathway to implement COPD care in a community oncology clinic. Using a mixed-methods user-centered design process, investigators will ensure the feasibility of evidence-based practices in this setting. The results of this pilot study will directly inform a randomized controlled trial to measure whether COPD control reduces hospitalization risk.

Perioperative Music Therapy Plus Oxycodone in Analgesia After Thoracic Surgery

Start date: August 1, 2023
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

To explore the feasibility and effectiveness of Perioperative Music Therapy Plus Oxycodone in pain management after thoracic surgery, patients will be randomly assigned into two groups. The experimental group will receive perioperative music therapy and the control group will not. We will record and contrast the postoperative oxycodone usage to evaluate the effect of music therapy in relieving the pain. We will also use visual analogue scale, questionnaire and EEG to evaluate patients' anxiety and depression.

NCT ID: NCT05974150 Recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Real World Treatment Experience of Patients With Breast, Lung, Ovarian, Multiple Myeloma, or Acute Myelogenous Leukemia Using Remote Symptom Monitoring

Start date: July 19, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The goal of this study is to create a data set to add to Carevive's registry from real world clinical and patient reported data collected using an electronic care planning system (CPS) with remote symptom monitoring that is used in routine care for cancer patients on active treatment. Patients will complete a baseline survey in person using a secured device or remotely using their own electronic device in a location of their choice. Weekly electronic patient reported outcome (PRO) surveys are collected from the patients using the Carevive platform for a minimum of 12 weeks. Patients may continue weekly surveys as long as they are receiving treatment.
