View clinical trials related to Liver Cirrhosis.
Filter by:In a population of cirrhotics patients who did not responde to an anti-HBV vaccination according to the recommended vaccination, the goal is to : Describe the proportion of patients with HBs antibody levels greater than 10mUI/mL at 1 month of the last injection of vaccine ; with a M0-M1-M6 vaccine regimen using 3 vaccines strategies : - After simple intramuscular vaccine (IM) ( Control group ) - After simple intradermal vaccine - after IMIQUIMOD's application followed by intradermal vaccine administration The main hypothesis of this study is : IMIQUIMOD acts as an immunity booster, so the combination of IMIQUIMOD with an intra-dermal injection of the anti-HBV vaccine allows better acquisition of post-vaccination immunization.
Patients who have completed 2-years treatment in RCT Study of carvedilol will receive another 2-years extension therapy, aiming to investigate the long-term efficacy of carvedilol for the prevention of esophageal varices in treated HBV cirrhotic patients.
Ascites is the most frequent complication of liver cirrhosis and results in increased morbidity and mortality but current medical management options are limited. Here, the investigators will conduct an interventional single-arm pilot clinical trial toevaluate the feasibility of empagliflozin in managing diuretic-resistant ascites in patients with decompensated cirrhosis. This single site, open label pilot study will enroll participants with decompensated cirrhosis at a single site. Participants will receive empagliflozin 10mg oral tablets once daily for 12 weeks with monitoring for safety and adverse events.
The aim of this study was to investigate whether NETs markers can enhance procoagulant activity and predict portal vein thrombosis in patients with live cirrhosis, so as to establish a novel predictor to guide clinical decision-making.So we recruit liver cirrhosis with portal vein thrombosis and without portal vein thrombosis treated at the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University and collection of blood samples.
The study "Competitive Accuracy of Radiological Imaging Compared to Liver Biopsy in Patients With Liver Fibrosis" is designed to test the accuracy of non-interventional radiological imaging and compare its results with the "gold standard" liver biopsy. This is prospective non-randomized single patient group study.
Cirrhotic patients may be at high risk for esophageal cancer. Endoscopic resection is the standard treatment for superficial tumors. However, cirrhosis might be associated with upper gastrointestinal bleeding, particularly in case of portal hypertension or coagulopathy. This study aims to assess safety, efficacy and methods to prevent potential complications in cirrhosis or portal hypertension context for esophageal endoscopic resection. This retrospective multicentric French-Belgian study includes all consecutive patients with cirrhosis or portal hypertension who underwent esophageal endoscopic resection from January 2005 to 2021.
The objective of this study is to evaluate the correlation of the calculated portosystemic pressure gradient (PPG) obtained by direct portal and hepatic pressure measurements with the EchoTip® Insightâ„¢ and indirect portal vein pressure measurements using the interventional radiology based hepatic venous pressure gradient (HVPG) procedure.
Liver transplantation is an effective treatment for end-stage liver disease. Cardiovascular complications are the common causes of death in liver transplant recipients. The presence of cirrhosis cardiomyopathy has a potential impact on the prognosis of liver transplant recipients. Therefore, it is important to identify the high risk factors with cirrhotic cardiomyopathy before transplantation, so as to intervene earlier and improve the prognosis of patients.
The investigators aimed to verify the efficacy and safety of nadroparin calcium warfarin sequential (NWS) anticoagulation therapy after endoscopic therapy in PVT patients with cirrhosis and AVB.
This single-center prospective observational study aims at characterization of pathogenesis of ACLF. There will be three different cohorts investigated with the main endpoint mortality in these groups. 1. SAPIENT = Sepsis ACLF patients, to investigate the differences between ACLF and sepsis in cirrhosis 2. PROACT = Portal mediators as ACLF Targets, to assess portal venous biomarkers in patients receiving TIPS leading to ACLF and identify potential treatment targets 3. ELITE = prEdictors of beneficial LIver Tx in ACFL patiEnts, to assess in ACLF-patients receiving liver transplantation predictors of survival, which may improve selection of ACLF-patients for liver transplantation Secondary endpoints will be different in the three different cohorts and biological material will be collected for separate ancillary studies.
