The purpose of this study was to evaluate subject preference for Aranesp® administered once monthly (i.e., every 4 weeks (Q4W)) or Procrit® administered once weekly (QW).
Treatment period 1:To demonstrate that switching HD subjects with a baseline haemoglobin (Hb) ≥ 10 g/dL and ≤ 13 g/dL from either subcutaneous (SC) or intravenous (IV) rHuEPO to IV darbepoetin alfa results in a mean Hb > 11 g/dL. Treatment Period 2:To demonstrate that switching subjects with a Hb > 11 g/dL and ≤ 13 g/dL from once weekly IV darbepoetin alfa to once every 2 weeks (Q2W) maintains the mean Hb at > 11 g/dL.
This small cross-sectional epidemiological study is designed to evaluate the prevalence of the following parameters in hospitalized patients in a tertiary teaching hospital (medical department only): - kidney insufficiency - obesity - use of unfractionated heparins / low molecular weight heparins - other drugs effecting the hemostatic system
The proposed study is designed to test a novel dosing paradigm that would facilitate the treatment of anemia in CKD patients not on dialysis. Anemic patients who are not currently receiving ESA therapy will be dosed with darbepoetin alfa Q2W for 18 weeks.
The proposed study is designed to test a novel dosing paradigm that would facilitate the treatment of anemia in CKD patients not on dialysis. Anemic patients who have achieved and maintained target hemoglobin (Hb) on every 2 weeks (Q2W) dosing of darbepoetin alfa will have the dosing interval extended to once monthly (QM) dosing. Extending the dosing interval for darbepoetin alfa to QM represents a major potential benefit to both patients with CKD and their caregivers.
The purpose of this study is to determine which combination of the tablets ramipril, irbesartan or spironolactone is best to lower protein leakage from the kidney.
The proposed study is designed to test a novel dosing paradigm that would facilitate the treatment of anemia in CKD patients on dialysis. Anemic patients on hemo and peritoneal dialysis who have achieved and maintained target hemoglobin (Hb) on every other week (Q2W) dosing of darbepoetin alfa will have the dosing interval extended to once monthly (QM) dosing.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of cinacalcet compared with placebo in patients with stage 3 and 4 Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).
The purpose of this study is to determine whether darbepoetin alfa manufactured by the current "roller bottle" technology and darbepoetin alfa manufactured by a serum free process have a comparable safety profile.
