View clinical trials related to Kidney Cancer.
Filter by:RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining chemotherapy with peripheral stem cell transplantation may allow the doctor to give higher doses of chemotherapy drugs and kill more tumor cells. Chemoprotective drugs such as amifostine may protect normal cells from the side effects of high-dose chemotherapy. PURPOSE: Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of amifostine in protecting from the side effects of peripheral stem cell transplantation in treating patients who have high-risk or relapsed solid tumors.
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of dolastatin 10 in treating patients with advanced kidney cancer.
RATIONALE: White blood cells from donors may be able to kill cancer cells in patients with cancer that has recurred following bone marrow or peripheral stem cell transplantation. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of donated white blood cells in treating patients who have relapsed cancer following transplantation of donated bone marrow or peripheral stem cells.
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. It is not yet known which regimen of chemotherapy is more effective for stage I Wilms' tumor. PURPOSE: Randomized phase III trial to study the effectiveness of chemotherapy and surgery in treating children who are at risk of or who have stage I Wilms' tumor.
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one chemotherapy drug may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of combining doxorubicin and ifosfamide in treating patients who have metastatic kidney cancer.
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Interleukin-2 may stimulate a person's white blood cells to kill kidney cancer cells. Interferon alfa may interfere with the growth of cancer cells. Combining chemotherapy with biological therapy may kill more cancer cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of combination chemotherapy and biological therapy in treating patients with kidney cancer that is metastatic or cannot be removed surgically.
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the combination of amifostine and high dose chemotherapy with blood stem cell support. Amifostine is a druf developed to protect normal tissues against the toxicities of chemotherapy and radiotherapy and has reduced the side effects of chemotherapy given at conventional doses.
RATIONALE: Tretinoin may help kidney cancer cells develop into normal cells. Interferon alfa may interfere with the growth of cancer cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of liposomal tretinoin plus interferon alfa in treating patients who have metastatic kidney cancer.
RATIONALE: Interleukin-2 may stimulate a person's white blood cells to kill kidney cancer cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of interleukin-2 in treating patients with stage III or stage IV kidney cancer that has been removed by surgery.
RATIONALE: Biological therapies use different ways to stimulate the immune system and stop cancer cells from growing. Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining biological therapy with chemotherapy may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase I/II trial to study the effectiveness of biological therapy plus chemotherapy in treating patients with metastatic or recurrent kidney cancer.
