To elucidate the longitudinal development of intestinal microbiota in patients with IL10RA deficiency after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). The investigators planned to collect fecal samples from IL10RA-deficient patients who received HSCT. Samples were collected more than once every three days after engraftment in lamina flow ward and at least once a week before discharge. Microbial DNA was extracted from the fecal samples. And all analysis was based on the next generation sequencing data.

Traditionally, opioids are heavily utilized in treating postoperative pain but they are associated with numerous side effects. The use of the transversus abdominis plane (TAP) blocks have become standard practice to extend the post-operative analgesic window and limit opioid use. A new liposomal-depo formulation of bupivacaine (Exparel) has gained popularity as a long-lasting TAP block medication, but has not been studied in a well-powered clinical trial specifically in colorectal patients nor compared to a bupivacaine/steroid mixture which may offer similar effects. We conduct a prospective randomized prospective randomized study of patients undergoing major laparoscopic colorectal surgery to compare the analgesic effects of a bupivacaine/steroid mixture versus liposomal bupivacaine.
The primary aim of this study is to evaluate the effect and impact of a technology which creates a virtual reality (VR), personalized representation of a patient's endoscopic findings in comparison our standard practice (SP). Our study will compare the level of knowledge, understanding and satisfaction the patient and family have between those receiving SP and those receiving both SP and VR.
This study is a randomized controlled study conducted at five tertiary university hospitals. Patients who are 20-80 years old, diagnosed as having Inflammatory Bowel Disease(IBD) and who are planned to start thiopurines for the first time for the treatment of IBD are enrolled. Patients are assigned to the genotyping group or to the non-genotyping group. The patients who carry any heterozygotic variant among the three genes receive 50 mg azathioprine (AZA) or 25 mg of 6-mercaptopurine, while those who have any homozygotic variant are recommended to take other alternative drugs. The patients who do not carry any genetic variant or are assigned in non-genotyping group receive the standard dose of thiopurines based on the conventional approach. Patients in the non-genotyping group receive the standard dose of thiopurines based on the conventional approach.
The investigators are going to study von Willebrand antigen and activity levels in patients with inflammatory bowel disease. The study will be on 46 patients who were diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease mainly ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease divided into two arms; group A will include 23 cases with active IBD(cases)status and group B will include 23 cases with inactive IBD status(control) to compare the vWF antigen and activity ( expected to be higher in active disease group. The investigators will follow all of the patients for any arterial or venous thrombosis to evaluate IBD as a risk factor of thrombosis, on the other hand, they are looking to detect cases of acquired von Willebrand syndrome in some cases with bleeding that not explained by the inflammatory bowel disease status. The aim of the work: 1. Assessment of VWF antigen in patients with inflammatory bowel disease and correlate it to disease activity. 2. Evaluation of VWF antigen as a risk factor for thrombosis in inflammatory bowel disease patients. 3. Detection of acquired von Willebrand disease in inflammatory bowel disease.
