This is an observational registry to assess the clinical utility of surveillance using HeartCare testing services, in association with clinical care of heart transplant recipients.
This study is a prospective, observational multi-center cohort study. The study will consist of patients undergoing heart transplantation. The main purpose is to test a new biomarker for rejection against the gold-standard, the endomyocardial biopsy (EMB). 80 patients will be included, both children and adults.
Heart transplantation (HTx) is a procedure which is hindered by several complications. The HEARTS registry aims to allow the analysis of risk factors of all post-HTx complications. It consists in an exhaustive data collection at the moment of inclusion, i.e. HTx, knowing that patients underwent a full-fledged evaluation beforehand to evaluate their aptitude to being transplanted. Post-HTx complications include but is not limited to: all-cause mortality, AMR, ACR, CAV, AKI, sepsis, cancer, psychological disorders, metabolic disorders.
This phase II, single-center, open-label study will evaluate the comparable efficacy of tacrolimus extended release tablets (Envarsus®) to the standard of care (SOC) twice daily tacrolimus (Prograf®) dosing regimen post-cardiac transplantation.
