Filter by:The purpose of this study is to determine the effects of the antiretroviral drugs efavirenz and ritonavir on human brain LAAM disposition in vivo.
This clinical study is composed of two steps. The first step aims at validating the pharmacokinetic approach based on the magnesium concentration in erythrocyte and plasma. According to these results and if this pharmacokinetic approach is validated, the second step will set up. The second phase aims at comparing the relative bioavailability of magnesium administrated by two different drug formulations: ChronoMag Smart Tablet® (two tablets50mg) versus Mag2® (three tablets100mg).
Background: - Cardiometabolic diseases are a combination of medical disorders that, when they occur together, increase the risk of heart disease and diabetes. Researchers want to learn if there is a relationship between these diseases and inflammation (redness, swelling, and pain). Inflammation affects the entire body. Researchers will study this relationship in people with heart disease and diabetes, and compare it to healthy people. Objectives: - To learn if there are links between inflammation and cardiometabolic diseases. Eligibility: - Adults 18 years of age or older with heart disease or diabetes. - Healthy volunteers 18 years of age or older. Design: - Participants will have up to six study visits. There will be first visit, then an optional visit 12 months after the first visit. - At the study visits they will have: - Blood taken with a needle in their arm. - An electrocardiogram. Small patches are stuck to the chest and limbs. A machine measures electrical signals of the heart. - Completed a number of questionnaires. - A body scan called an FDG PET/CT. A substance will be injected through a tube in their arm. They will lie on a special bed that will move in and out of the PET/CT scanner. The PET/CT scanner will take pictures of the body. The scan will last up to 30 minutes. - Some participants will have other body scans ( FDG PET/MRI). The procedures are similar to the FDG PET/CT scan. These other scans will last about 30 minutes total. - Some participants will also have a CT scan of their heart. A substance will be injected through a tube in their arm. They will lie on a table in a large, donut-shaped machine. An X-ray tube will move around their body, taking many pictures. This procedure can last up to 2 hours. - Some participants will have tests that measures blood pressure and how the blood moves through the body. - Some participants will have small samples of skin and fat tissue taken.
Study to assess the safety and tolerability of ascending single-doses of REGN1193 in healthy volunteers.
This open-label, 2-period, fixed sequence, drug interaction study will investigate the effect of co-administration of itraconazole on the pharmacokinetics of cobimetinib in healthy volunteers. Volunteers will receive multiple repeating doses of cobimetinib and itraconazole. The anticipated time on study treatment is approximately one month.
This multi-center screening study will conduct a cognition assessment to collect reference data for comparison to patients with depression in healthy volunteers. Data will be collected for 6 weeks.
This is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study of single and multiple ascending dosage levels of AZD6423 in healthy volunteers. The study includes an up to 28-day screening period, an in-house period during which AZD6423 or placebo will be administered IV, and a 4- to 10-day follow-up period after discharge.
The main purpose of this study is to find out how the body will react to a study drug called baricitinib when taken with another drug called omeprazole. For each participant, this study will include 2 periods in fixed order. The study will last approximately 25 days, not including screening.
The main purpose of this study is to look at the effect of ketoconazole and fluconazole on how much baricitinib gets into the blood stream. The study will also look at the tolerability of baricitinib and ketoconazole when given together and the tolerability of baricitinib and fluconazole when given together. Participants will be recruited into one of 2 treatment groups (Group A, Group B). Each treatment group will participate in 2 study periods. Participants will take baricitinib alone in one period and baricitinib with either ketaconazole or fluconazole in the other period. This study will last approximately 7 weeks.
Investigate the safety and tolerability, as well as PK profile of ceftazidime-avibactam (CAZ -AVI) administered in single and repeated intravenous (IV) infusions in healthy Chinese subjects. This study data will be used to support CAZ-AVI NDA in China.
