Filter by:This is a Phase 1, single-center, double-blind, randomized, placebo- and positive controlled, double-dummy, parallel-group, repeated-dose study with a nested cross-over comparison between moxifloxacin and placebo to evaluate the effect of MD1003 on cardiac repolarization in healthy adult subjects. The planned enrollment is approximately 64 subjects randomized in a ratio of 1:1 to 2main groups. Subjects in Group B will be further randomized to Subgroups B1 and B2 in a ratio of 1:1.
Background: Testosterone is an anabolic steroid widely known to improve physical performance. Its consumption is banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). The steroid profile is one of the components of the Athlete's Biological Passport (ABP), which consists of selected biological variables that indirectly reveal the effects of doping. Alcohol consumption has been proved to alter the steroid profile and this may lead to the use of ethanol as a masking agent for testosterone administration. Hypothesis: Ratios of different testosterone biomarkers vary after ethanol administration: [6-hydroxy-androsterone-3-glucuronide (6OH-Andros3G) / epitestosterone-glucuronide (EG)] and [6-hydroxy-etiocholanolone-3-glucuronide (6OH-Etio3G) / EG] decrease, while [testosterone-glucuronide (TG) / EG] increases. Primary objective: To evaluate if the combination of the markers TG, EG, 6OH-Andros3G and 6OH-Etio3G, as well as ethyl glucuronide (EtG) and ethyl sulfate (EtS), can be routinely used to differentiate between changes in the steroid profile due exclusively to the consumption of alcohol and those produced when alcohol is consumed during a testosterone administration. Secondary objectives: 1. To explore the potential of the simultaneous determination of both phase I and phase II metabolites in alternative matrices (plasma from blood samples collected as for the haematological module of ABP, or saliva) in the screening of testosterone misuse. 2. To look for the differences into a comprehensive steroid profile (determined in urine, plasma and saliva) between samples collected after testosterone administration and after the combination of testosterone and ethanol. Methods: Phase I, single-blind, crossover-design clinical trial, placebo controlled, with 4 conditions randomly assigned in male healthy caucasian subjects with a wash-out period between treatments.

The study medicine is a potential future treatment for schizophrenia, an illness that affects the way that people think, feel or behave. It is not clear what causes schizophrenia, but it's been linked to chemical imbalance in the brain. It is hoped that the study medicine will activate specific sites in the brain to help correct that imbalance. Current treatments for schizophrenia don't work very well and can cause unpleasant side effects. It is hoped that the study medicine will work better, and have fewer side effects than existing medicines. In this 2 part study (Part A: up to 40 healthy male subjects and up to 8 healthy female subjects, Part B: up to 32 healthy male subjects) the primary aim is to assess how safe the study medicine is in healthy men and women. This study will be in 2 parts, as follows: Part A will assess single doses of AUT00201 and Part B will assess multiple doses. Part A will be divided into 3 sub-parts: Part A1 will assess single ascending doses in healthy men, Part A2 will assess single ascending doses in healthy women, and Part A3 will assess the effect of food on the PK of AUT00201 in healthy men. A pharmaceutical company, Autifony Therapeutics Limited, is funding the study. The study will take place at 1 centre in London.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the PK, safety and tolerability of phenylacetate and benzoate after intravenous administration of TAK-123 in Japanese healthy adult male participants.
The study will look at how two different semaglutide versions reach and stay in the blood after injection. The study aims to show similar levels of semaglutide in the blood when using the different semaglutide versions. Participants will get 1 of the 2 versions of semaglutide. Which version participants get is decided by chance. One version is the one that doctors already can prescribe and the other is the new version. Participants will get the medicines as an injection under the skin of the stomach with the use of a pen-injector. The type of pen-injector is different for the two versions of semaglutide. The study will last for about 80-99 days. Participants will have 24 study visits with the study doctor. For 2 of the visits, participants will stay in the clinic for 4 days and 3 nights. Participants may have to stop the study if the study doctor thinks that there are risks for their health. Women cannot take part if pregnant, breast-feeding or planning to become pregnant during the study period.

This is a Phase 1, randomized, parallel-group, open-label study. Forty subjects will be enrolled and will be randomized into 1 of the 2 treatment groups, with 20 subjects in each treatment group(sex will be used as a stratifying factor) as follows: - Treatment Group A (reference): A single oral dose of ozanimod 0.46 mg - Treatment Group B (test): A single oral dose of ozanimod 0.46 mg plus a single oral dose of cyclosporine 600 mg
