Filter by:Background: In foreign countries, mobile x-ray already is being used where transfer to the radiology department at the hospital may be an obstacle. Using mobile x-ray, the x-ray examination is performed in the patients own home with transportable equipment that reminds of the transportable x-ray equipment that is being used in the intensive care units. At The Department of Radiology (DOR), Aarhus University Hospital there is an ongoing project mobile x-ray for patients living in nursing homes in Aarhus. The project will be evaluated inspired by the Triple Aim Approach in three sub studies. Overall aim: The overall aim is to conclude if mobile x-ray improves healthcare for fragile patients. Hypotheses: - Patients examined with mobile x-ray have fewer number of hospital admissions compared with patients examined with x-ray at DOR. - Patients examined with mobile x-ray are more satisfied with their examination compared with patients examined with x-ray at DOR. Sub study 1 - Population health Aim: The primary aim is to study if mobile x-ray improves the health of the defined population measured in hospital admission. Also to study challenges conducting a RCT. The outcome measures: The primary outcome is hospital admissions. Sub study 2 - Experience of care Aim: The aim is to study the satisfaction with mobile x-ray compared the satisfaction to x-ray at DOR. Methods: Observations, interview and questionnaires.
Study Design: Evaluation of the psychometric properties of a translated, culturally adapted questionnaire. Objective: Translating, culturally adapting, and validating the Italian version of the Dance Functional Outcome Survey (DFOS-IT), allowing its use with Italian-speaking dancers to evaluate their musculoskeletal health and wellbeing inside and outside Italy. Summary of Background Data: Musculoskeletal injuries are a phenomenon of huge prevalence and has been a major focus within peer-reviewed literature since the 1980s. Growing attention is devoted to standardized outcome measures to improve interventions for injured dancers. A translated form of the DFOS, the only existing outcome measure that focus on the unique functional requirements of dancers, has never been validated within the Italian dancers population.
The primary aim of the study is to determine the effect of playing high school football on self-rated health in late adulthood. This is an observational study that will use data from the Wisconsin Longitudinal Study, a longitudinal cohort of high school graduates from 1957, to compare graduates who played high school football with comparable graduates who did not play football on self-rated health, pain, functional ability, and weight at the age of 65 years.
This observational study in a real-world community was designed to perform epidemiological investigation and assess effect of CPAP intervention of obstructive sleep apnea.
